Country Legend Leisure Farm Introduction
The Country Legend Leisure Farm is located in the Hudong Leisure Agricultural Area of Xihu Township, Miaoli County. Its geographical position is relatively high and is conveniently situated directly above the Xihu Rest Area on the Central Second Highway, allowing visitors to overlook what is known as the most beautiful rest area in the country, with visions extending to the western coastal area. At night, the scenery becomes even more enchanting, showcasing the bustling traffic on the highway, the crowds at the rest area, the distant fishing boats on the sea, and the myriad lights of the countryside, all accompanied by the sounds of insects and birds within the park. The beauty of Xihu is fully revealed here. The name "Country Legend" was chosen because this area was originally barren except for nearly twenty years of pomelo trees. It was not until nine years ago that my spouse and I had the idea to transform it. From the clearing to the construction, every grass and tree, every brick and stone in the park has been managed by our family’s collective effort, allowing us to unite our strengths over the years, making it our most beautiful dream—hoping that one day it can become a legend in this countryside. The richness of the ecosystem is a highlight of the park, with crickets, butterflies, frogs, and cicadas visible everywhere. Hundreds of Taiwan two-leaf pine, maple, Tung trees, and green trees over forty years old provide ample shade, making it very cooling. Here, you can enjoy freshly ground handcrafted coffee, brew floral tea under the trees, have barbecues and family gatherings, and from late March to mid-April, you can smell the fragrant pomelo blossoms, taste pomelo flower tea, and even adopt a pomelo tree. From mid-April to mid-May, you can enjoy the Tung flower, often referred to as May snow, and from mid-May to mid-June, you can admire the golden flowers of the acacia tree. In September, self-picking of pomelo is available. The entire farm is cultivated organically, with no pesticides used, ensuring that what you eat is healthy and safe.
