Country Legend Leisure Farm Introduction
Xiangye Legend Leisure Farm is located in the Hudo Leisure Agriculture Area of Xihu Township, Miaoli County. Its geographical position is relatively high and conveniently situated right above the Xihu Rest Area on National Highway 3. Within the farm, visitors can overlook what is said to be the most beautiful rest area in the country, and in the distance, one can see the western coast. At night, the scenery becomes even more enchanting, with the streams of cars on the highway, the crowds of people coming and going at the rest area, the fishing boats dotting the sea, and the countless lights of the countryside, all accompanied by the sounds of insects and birds in the park. The beauty of Xihu is fully revealed here. The name "Xiangye Legend" was chosen because this area was originally desolate except for nearly twenty years of cultivated pomelo trees. Nine years ago, my spouse and I had the idea to organize the land. Every bit of the park—from its cultivation to the construction of each blade of grass, each brick, and each stone—has been managed by our family’s collective efforts. Over the years, it has allowed us to consolidate our strength and has become our most beautiful dream, hoping that one day it can become a legend in this rural area. The ecological richness is a highlight of the park, where crickets, butterflies, frogs, and cicadas can be seen everywhere. Hundreds of trees, over forty years old, including Taiwan white pine, maple trees, tung trees, and various shade trees, provide a cool retreat. Here, you can enjoy freshly ground handcrafted coffee or herbal tea under the trees, have a barbecue and family gathering, and from late March to mid-April, you can smell the fragrance of pomelo flowers throughout the park, taste pomelo flower tea, and adopt a pomelo tree. From mid-April to mid-May, you can admire the tung flower, commonly known as May Snow, and from mid-May to mid-June, enjoy the golden acacia blossoms. Pomelo picking is available in September, and the entire park is cultivated organically without the use of pesticides, ensuring that visitors can eat healthily and with peace of mind.
