Country Legend Leisure Farm Introduction
The Rural Legend Leisure Farm is located in the Lhudong Leisure Agriculture Area of Xihu Township, Miaoli County. Its geographic position is relatively high and is conveniently situated directly above the Xihu Rest Area on National Freeway No. 3. Within the park, visitors can overlook what is called the most beautiful rest area in the country, and in the distance, the western coastline can be seen. At night, the scenery becomes even more enchanting, whether it’s the bustling cars on the highway, the crowds in the rest area, the fishing boats on the sea, or the countless lights of the countryside, all accompanied by the sounds of insects and birds within the park – a captivating sight. The beauty of Xihu is fully revealed here. The name "Rural Legend" was chosen because, apart from nearly twenty years of pomelo trees, the area was once barren. Nine years ago, my spouse and I decided to organize this space, and every inch of land, every tree, and every stone in the park has been carefully managed by our family, bringing us together over the years. It has become our most beautiful dream, and we hope it will one day become a kind of legend in this countryside. The richness of the ecosystem is a characteristic of the park, where crickets, butterflies, frogs, and cicadas are commonly seen. Hundreds of Taiwan red pines, maple trees, tung trees, and green trees over forty years old provide ample shade and coolness. Here, you can enjoy freshly ground handmade coffee or herbal tea under the trees, have family barbecues and meals, and during late March to mid-April, you can smell the fragrance of pomelo flowers, taste pomelo blossom tea, and even adopt a pomelo tree. From mid-April to mid-May, you can admire the tung blossoms known as "May snow," and from mid-May to mid-June, you can enjoy the golden acacia flowers. In September, self-picking of pomelos is available, all cultivated organically without the use of pesticides, ensuring a healthy and safe dining experience.
