Countryside Legend Leisure Farm Introduction
Xiangye Legend Leisure Farm is located in the Hudos Leisure Agricultural Area in Xihu Township, Miaoli County, and is situated at a relatively high altitude directly above the Xihu Rest Area on the Zhonger Expressway. Within the park, visitors can overlook the so-called most beautiful rest area in the country, and in the distance, they can see the western coastal shoreline. At night, the scenery becomes even more charming, featuring the bustling traffic on the highway, crowds of people at the rest area, fishing boats dotting the sea surface, and the countless lights of the countryside, all accompanied by the sounds of chirping insects and birds in the park. The beauty of Xihu is on full display here. The name "Xiangye Legend" was chosen because, besides the pomelo trees that have been planted for nearly twenty years, the rest of the area was barren. Nine years ago, my spouse and I decided to renovate the area. From the cultivation to the construction, everything within the park, every plant, stone, and brick, has been managed by our family with collective efforts. Over the years, it has allowed us to unite our strength, becoming our most beautiful dream, and we hope that one day it can become a legend in this rural area. The richness of the ecosystem is a hallmark of the park, with crickets, butterflies, frogs, and cicadas commonly seen. Hundreds of trees over forty years old, including Taiwan red pine, maple, tung trees, and lush green trees provide ample shade. Here, you can enjoy freshly ground handmade coffee or herbal tea under the trees, have a barbecue or family meal together, and during late March to mid-April, you can experience the fragrance of pomelo flowers, taste pomelo flower tea, and adopt pomelo trees. From mid-April to mid-May, you can enjoy the tung blossoms, and from mid-May to mid-June, you can appreciate the golden acacia flowers. In September, pomelo picking is available, and the entire farm is organically cultivated without pesticide spraying, ensuring a healthy and safe eating experience.
