Country Legend Leisure Farm Introduction
Xiangye Legend Leisure Farm is located in the Hudong Leisure Agricultural Area of Xihu Township, Miaoli County. Its geographic position is higher and directly above the Xihu Rest Area on National Highway No. 2, allowing visitors to overlook what is said to be the most beautiful rest area in the country. From a distance, one can also see the western coastal area. At night, the scenery becomes even more enchanting, with the ebb and flow of traffic on the highway, the crowd within the rest area, the fishing boats on the sea, and the twinkling lights of the countryside, all accompanied by the sounds of insects and birds within the farm. The beauty of Xihu is fully presented here. The name "Xiangye Legend" was chosen because, except for nearly twenty years of pomelo trees, the rest was just a barren land. Nine years ago, my spouse and I felt the urge to organize and cultivate this land. Every plant, brick, and stone in the park has been carefully managed by our family. Over the years, it has brought us together and has become our most beautiful dream. We hope that one day it will become a kind of legend in this countryside. The rich ecology is a feature of the farm, with crickets, butterflies, frogs, and cicadas commonly seen. There are hundreds of Taiwan red pines, maples, tung trees, and green trees over forty years old, providing ample shade for coolness. Here, you can enjoy freshly ground handcrafted coffee or herbal tea under the trees, have a barbecue dinner with family, and from late March to mid-April, you can smell the fragrance of pomelo flowers throughout the farm, taste pomelo flower tea, and even adopt a pomelo tree. From mid-April to mid-May, you can admire the tung flowers known as May Snow, and from mid-May to mid-June, enjoy the golden beauty of Acacia flowers. Pomelo picking opens in September, and the entire farm practices organic cultivation without the use of pesticides, ensuring healthy and safe food.
