Country Legend Leisure Farm Introduction
Xiangye Legend Leisure Farm is located in the Huzhong Leisure Agriculture Area of Xihu Township, Miaoli County. Situated at a higher elevation, it is directly above the Xihu Rest Area on National Freeway No. 3, allowing visitors to overlook what is called the most beautiful rest area in the country, with a distant view of the western coastal area. As night falls, the scenery becomes even more enchanting, with the bustling traffic on the highway, the crowds at the rest area, the fishing boats scattered over the sea, and the myriad of lights from the countryside, all accompanied by the sounds of insects and birds within the park. The beauty of Xihu is fully revealed here. The name "Xiangye Legend" was chosen because, prior to planting the pomelo trees that have been here for nearly twenty years, the area was barren. Nine years ago, my spouse and I were inspired to organize the space; every plant and stone in the area has been carefully tended by our whole family, reflecting years of accumulated energy and effort. It has become our most beautiful dream, and we hope that one day it will become a legend in this countryside. The park is characterized by its rich ecology, with crickets, butterflies, frogs, and cicadas visible everywhere. Hundreds of trees over forty years old, including Taiwan’s two-leaf pine, maple, tung trees, and green trees, provide pleasant shade. Here, you can enjoy freshly ground hand-made coffee, brew flower tea, and have family barbecues and gatherings. From late March to mid-April, the pomelo flowers fill the air with their fragrance, and visitors can taste pomelo flower tea and adopt pomelo trees. From mid-April to mid-May, you can admire the tung flower, known as "May Snow," and from mid-May to mid-June, the golden acacia flowers. Pomelos are available for self-harvesting in September, and the entire farm is organically cultivated, with no use of pesticides, ensuring a healthy and safe experience.
