Country Legend Leisure Farm Introduction
The Country Legend Leisure Farm is located in the Huton Leisure Agricultural Area of Xihu Township, Miaoli County. It is situated at a higher elevation and conveniently positioned directly above the Xihu Rest Area on the Zhanghua–Jiaoxi Expressway, allowing visitors to overlook what is claimed to be the most beautiful rest area in the country and enjoy views of the western coastal shoreline. At night, the scenery becomes even more enchanting, with the bustling traffic on the highway, the crowds coming and going in the rest area, the fishing boats dotting the sea, and the lights of the village, all accompanied by the sounds of chirping insects and singing birds within the park. The beauty of Xihu is fully revealed here. The name "Country Legend" reflects the original state of the area, which, apart from nearly twenty-year-old pomelo trees, was largely barren. Nine years ago, my spouse and I had the idea of tidying up the land. Every tree and plant, every brick and stone within the park has been managed with the collective effort of our family. Over the years, it has allowed us to rally our strengths and has become our most beautiful dream, with hopes that one day it may turn into a kind of legend in this countryside. The rich ecology is a hallmark of the farm, with crickets, butterflies, frogs, and cicadas readily visible. Hundreds of trees over forty years old, including Taiwan red pine, maple, tung trees, and vibrant green trees, provide lovely shade. Here, you can enjoy freshly ground hand-dripped coffee or floral tea under the trees, have family barbecues and gatherings, and during late March to mid-April, you can smell the fragrance of pomelo blossoms throughout the garden, taste pomelo blossom tea, and even adopt a pomelo tree. From mid-April to mid-May, you can appreciate the tung tree flowers known as "May Snow," and from mid-May to mid-June, enjoy the golden acacia flowers. From September, visitors can pick their own pomelos. The entire farm is organically cultivated without the use of pesticides, ensuring healthy and safe food.
