Hakka Cultural Museum Introduction
The park is designed according to the undulating topography of the hilly terrain where it is located, featuring outdoor spaces, a main exhibition hall area, and auxiliary facilities. It provides a gentle connection through squares and walking paths that encircle the site, while the buildings are considered an integral part of the overall landscape. The park and its related facilities are enveloped by an artificial hill formed by patterns of water and greenery, creating an image of terraced landscapes. The main exhibition hall area serves as the primary space of the park, accessible via a sky bridge from the entrance, leading to the second floor permanent exhibition area. This area showcases the inspiring stories of Taiwanese Hakka immigration through various display techniques, while the first floor features a multimedia interactive display zone. Surrounding special exhibition areas, themed around different charming elements of Hakka culture, include spaces for the Taiwan Pavilion, Global Pavilion, Children's Pavilion, Cultural and Creative Industries Pavilion, and a special exhibition area on the camphor industry, reflecting the profound meaning of inheriting and innovating Hakka culture. Auxiliary facilities in the park include a DIY experience area for family fun and a study classroom space. The multimedia theater next to the study classroom allows visitors to enjoy touching Hakka films. The main stage area of the tiered square is planned for various artistic performances such as Hakka music and community showcases, bringing the audience closer to Hakka culture. Walking along the path behind the main stage leads to the crescent pond infused with Hakka imagery, offering views of the Hakka settlements at the foot of the mountains. When you need a break, you can stroll through the Hakka特色 industry display and sale area, and before concluding your visit, take some Hakka特色 products and delicacies as souvenirs, allowing you to experience the hospitality of the Hakka people!
