Hakka Cultural Museum of Taiwan Introduction
The park is designed according to the undulating terrain of the hills where it is located, featuring outdoor spaces, a main exhibition area, and auxiliary facilities. The area is connected gently through plazas and pathways surrounding the base, with the buildings considered as part of the overall landscape. The park and related facilities are enveloped by artificial hills formed by patterns of water and greenery, creating an image of terraced landscapes. The main exhibition area is the primary space of the park, accessible via a sky bridge from the entrance to the 2nd floor permanent exhibition area, which documents the touching stories of Taiwanese Hakka immigration through various display methods. The 1st floor houses an interactive multimedia exhibition area. Surrounding special exhibition areas are themed around different charms of Hakka culture, including spaces like the Taiwan Pavilion, Global Pavilion, Children's Pavilion, Cultural and Creative Industries Pavilion, and a special exhibition area for camphor industries, reflecting the profound meanings of inheriting and innovating Hakka culture. Auxiliary facilities include a DIY experience area for family fun and classroom spaces for workshops. Next to the classroom is a multimedia theater where you can watch moving Hakka films. The main stage area of the terrace square is planned for various artistic performances, including Hakka music and community showcases, bringing audiences closer to Hakka culture. Along the pathway behind the main stage, visitors can walk to the crescent-shaped pond that embodies Hakka imagery and enjoy the views of the Hakka settlement at the foot of the mountain. When you feel tired, you can visit the Hakka specialty product exhibition area, and before concluding your visit, take home some Hakka specialty products and food as souvenirs, allowing (ㄏㄠˇ) good guests to experience the hospitality of the Hakka people!
