Hakka Cultural Museum Introduction
The park is designed based on the undulating topography of the hilly terrain where it is located, incorporating outdoor spaces, a main exhibition area, and auxiliary facilities. A plaza and a network of walkways surrounding the site provide a gentle connection throughout the area, while the buildings are considered part of the overall landscape. The park and related facilities are enveloped by an artificial hill composed of water and green scenery, creating a terraced landscape effect. The main exhibition area is the core space of the park, with access to the second floor permanent exhibition area through a sky bridge at the entrance. It records the captivating stories of Hakka immigration in Taiwan through various display techniques. The first floor features a multimedia interactive exhibition area. The surrounding special exhibition areas focus on different charming elements of Hakka culture, including spaces for the Taiwan Pavilion, Global Pavilion, Children's Pavilion, Cultural and Creative Industries Pavilion, and a special exhibition area for camphor industry, reflecting the profound connotation of inheriting and innovating Hakka culture. Auxiliary facilities in the park include a DIY experience area for family fun and a study classroom space. Next to the study classroom, a multimedia theater allows you to watch captivating Hakka films. The main stage area of the stepped plaza is planned for various forms of cultural performances, such as Hakka music and community performances, bringing the audience closer to Hakka culture. Along the walking path behind the main stage, you can reach the crescent-shaped pond that embodies Hakka imagery and view the landscape of the Hakka settlement at the foot of the mountain. When you feel tired, take a stroll through the Hakka specialty product exhibition and sales area, and before your trip ends, bring back some Hakka specialty products and snacks as souvenirs. Let the warm hospitality of the Hakka people make you feel welcome!
