Hakka Cultural Museum Taiwan Introduction
The park is designed based on the undulating terrain of the hill where it is located, incorporating outdoor spaces, a main exhibition hall area, and ancillary facilities. It connects the area with gentle pathways that surround the base and treats the buildings as an integral part of the overall landscape. The park and related facilities are enveloped by artificial hills shaped by water and green scenery, creating the imagery of terraced landscapes. The main exhibition hall area serves as the core space of the park, accessible from the entrance via a pedestrian bridge leading to the second-floor permanent exhibition area, which documents the touching stories of Taiwanese Hakka immigration through display techniques. The first floor features a multimedia interactive exhibition area; the surrounding special exhibition areas are themed around different elements of Hakka charm, including spaces for a Taiwan Pavilion, a Global Pavilion, a Children's Pavilion, a Cultural and Creative Industries Pavilion, and a camphor industry special exhibition area, reflecting the deep meaning of inheriting and innovating Hakka culture. The park's ancillary facilities include a DIY experience area suitable for family fun and workshop classrooms, while the multimedia theater next to the classrooms allows you to watch moving Hakka films. The main stage area of the tiered plaza is planned for various artistic performances such as Hakka music and community shows, bringing the audience closer to Hakka culture. Along the walking path behind the main stage, you can reach the crescent-shaped pond, which embodies Hakka imagery, where you can enjoy the scenery of the Hakka villages at the foot of the mountains. When you feel tired, visit the special Hakka industry exhibition and sales area, and before the end of your trip, take home some unique Hakka products and delicacies as souvenirs, allowing (hǎo) hospitable visitors to feel the warmth of Hakka hospitality!
