Hakka Cultural Museum of Taiwan Introduction
The park is designed according to the undulating hilly terrain of the site, featuring outdoor spaces, a main exhibition hall area, and auxiliary facilities. A plaza and pathways surrounding the site create a gentle connection throughout the area, with the buildings envisioned as part of the overall landscape. The park and related facilities are enveloped by artificial hills formed by water and green landscapes, creating the imagery of terraced fields. The main exhibition hall area serves as the primary space of the park, accessible from the entrance via a sky bridge leading to the second floor, which features a permanent exhibition area that records the touching stories of Hakka immigration in Taiwan through various display methods. The first floor includes a multimedia interactive exhibition area. Surrounding the area are themed special exhibition zones showcasing different elements of Hakka charm, including spaces dedicated to Taiwan, global themes, children's exhibits, cultural and creative industries, and a special exhibition area for camphor industries, reflecting the profound significance of inheriting and innovating Hakka culture. Auxiliary facilities of the park include a DIY experience area for family fun and classrooms for workshops. Next to the classrooms, a multimedia theater allows visitors to watch captivating Hakka films. The main stage area of the terraced square is planned for various cultural performances, including Hakka music and community showcases, bringing the audience closer to Hakka culture. Strolling along the pathway behind the main stage leads to the crescent-shaped pool, where visitors can enjoy views of the Hakka villages at the foot of the mountains. When you feel tired, visit the exhibition and sale area for Hakka specialty products to wrap up your trip with some distinctive Hakka souvenirs and delicacies, letting guests experience the hospitality of the Hakka people!
