Tongluo Tea Factory Introduction
The Dazhuo Tea Factory, part of Taiwan Agricultural and Forestry Company, promotes eco-friendly and sustainable operations through natural farming methods and organic cultivation, thus providing ecological education. The exterior of the tea factory is simple and stylish, with a bright and sleek space design that injects youthful energy into the local century-old tea industry. Inside the factory, to help visitors better understand the characteristics of Miaoli's tea culture, there are displays of vintage tea-making tools that add a rich sense of nostalgia. A wall adorned with around a hundred tea canisters creates an impressive backdrop, turning Taiwanese tea into fashionable boutique items. Visitors can sit down to savor authentic tea-picking lunches and various refreshing cold-brew teas. Stepping out of the tea factory, you will find yourself in serene local tea gardens, where you can experience the fun of tea picking and DIY tea making! You can transform into a tea picker for a day, wearing a farmer's straw hat, draped in a Hakka floral headscarf, and tied with a bamboo tea basket, as you hand-pick the legendary "one bud and two leaves." If you're lucky, you might even spot a small green leafhopper! After picking the tea leaves, follow the tea-making process to experience withering, pan-firing, rolling, oxidation, drying, sorting, and packaging, allowing you to create your own unique tea leaves that you can take home for personal use or sharing.
