Tongluo Tea Factory Introduction
The Dih’s Copper Drum Tea Factory, a subsidiary of Taiwan Agricultural and Forestry Company, promotes ecological education through environmentally sustainable practices and organic cultivation. The factory features a simple and modern exterior, with a bright and sleek interior design that injects youthful vitality into the century-old local tea industry. Inside the factory, visitors can better understand the characteristics of Miaoli's tea culture through displays of old tools used in tea production, adding a rich sense of nostalgia. A wall adorned with around a hundred tea canisters creates a striking visual display, transforming Taiwanese tea into fashionable boutique items. Guests can sit down to taste authentic tea-picking bento boxes and various refreshing cold-brewed teas. Stepping out of the factory leads to the tranquil local tea gardens, where visitors can enjoy the fun of tea picking and DIY tea-making. You can become a tea picker for a day by wearing a farmer's hat, draping a Hakka floral cloth scarf, and tying a bamboo tea basket around your waist to hand-pick the legendary "one bud two leaves." If you're lucky, you might even spot a little green leafhopper! After the tea leaves are picked, you can follow the steps of tea production to experience withering, frying, rolling, breaking, drying, sorting, and packaging, and create your own tea, which you can take home for personal use or to share.
