Tongluo Tea Factory Introduction
Dazhu Taiwan Agricultural and Forestry Company’s Dongluo Tea Factory promotes eco-friendly and sustainable education through natural farming and organic cultivation methods. The factory features a simple and stylish exterior, with a sleek and bright space design that injects youthful vitality into the century-old local tea industry. Inside the factory, old tea production tools are displayed to help visitors better understand the characteristics of Miaoli's tea culture, adding a rich retro sentiment. The interior showcases a wall of about one hundred tea canisters, turning Taiwanese tea into fashionable boutique items. Visitors can sit down to enjoy authentic tea-pickers' lunch boxes and various sweet cold-brew teas. Stepping out of the tea factory transports you to the serene local tea gardens, where you can not only experience the fun of DIY tea picking and production but also become a tea person for a day. Wearing a farmer's hat, draped in Hakka floral cloth, and with a bamboo tea basket around your waist, you'll have the chance to hand-pick the legendary "one bud and two leaves," and perhaps even spot a little green leafhopper! After picking tea leaves, you can follow the steps of tea production to experience withering, pan-firing, rolling, breaking, drying, sorting, and packaging, creating your very own tea leaves to take home for personal use or sharing.
