Tongluo Tea Factory Introduction
The Donglu Tea Factory, part of Taiwan Sugar Corporation, promotes ecological education through environmentally friendly and sustainable practices using natural farming and organic cultivation methods. The factory features a simple and modern exterior with a bright and clean space design, injecting youthful energy into the century-old local tea industry. Inside the factory, in order to enhance the public's understanding of Miaoli's tea culture, vintage tea-making tools are displayed, adding a nostalgic touch. The interior showcases around a hundred tea canisters, creating an impressive wall that turns Taiwanese tea into fashionable boutique products. Visitors can sit down to enjoy authentic tea picker meals and various cold brews with a lingering sweetness. Stepping out of the factory into the serene local tea gardens, guests can not only experience the fun of tea picking and DIY tea making but also transform into a tea farmer for a day, wearing a farmer's hat, a Hakka floral headscarf, and a bamboo tea basket, picking the legendary "one bud, two leaves." If lucky, they might even spot little green leafhoppers! After gathering the tea leaves, visitors follow the tea production steps to experience withering, pan-firing, rolling, breaking, drying, sorting, and packaging, creating their own unique tea to take home or share.
