Tongluo Tea Factory Introduction
Dachu Tea Factory, affiliated with Taiwan Agricultural and Forestry Company, promotes ecological education through natural farming and organic cultivation methods for environmentally sustainable management. The factory features a simple and stylish exterior with a bright and sleek interior design, injecting youthful energy into the century-old local tea industry. Inside the factory, to help visitors better understand the characteristics of Miaoli tea culture, old tea-making tools are displayed, adding a rich sense of nostalgia. A wall adorned with around a hundred tea containers creates an impressive backdrop, transforming Taiwanese tea into fashionable boutique items. Here, visitors can sit down to enjoy authentic tea picker’s bento and various types of sweet cold brew tea. Stepping out of the factory takes you to a serene tea garden, where you can not only experience the fun of tea picking and DIY tea production but also transform into a tea farmer for a day, wearing a farmer's hat and a Hakka floral scarf, with a bamboo tea basket around your waist, and handpick the legendary two leaves and a bud. If you're lucky, you might even spot the small green leafhopper! After picking tea leaves, you can follow the tea-making steps to experience withering, pan-firing, rolling, oxidation, drying, sorting, and packaging, crafting your own tea leaves to take home for personal use or sharing.
