Shanfu Fishing Harbor Introduction
To reach Sanyu Fish Harbor, look for the large stone lion at Fu’an Temple; take the small path next to the temple down to the harbor. Sanyu Fish Harbor is actually a great place! Besides being a harbor, there’s a comfortable little beach on the left for water fun, and on the right, crossing the breakwater leads to a long intertidal zone. Walking along the coast brings you to the Sanyu Ecological Corridor, which ends at Sanyu Fort, a very rich attraction. Here, you can first stroll along the Sanyu Ecological Corridor to learn about some flora and fauna of Xiaoliuqiu. After reaching Sanyu Fort, take a look at some of the buildings and designs inside the fort, and enjoy the view from the wide platform with a 180-degree sight. After exploring, walk back to Sanyu Fish Harbor—it’s likely you’ll have worked up a sweat, so head to the beach to cool off in the water. Finally, as dusk approaches, climb up the breakwater for a leisurely stroll and countdown to the sunset sinking into the sea. This way, you can have a relaxing afternoon without biking around!
