Shanzhigou Scenic Area Introduction
In Xiaoliuqiu, besides the captivating coastal scenery, the landscape of Shanzhugou, located inland, is truly exceptional. It allows visitors to fully access the most famous coral reef erosion terrain in Xiaoliuqiu, surrounded by lush greenery. Sunlight filters through the gaps in the coral reefs above, casting light that penetrates the leaves of the taro plants, which seem to emit a green glow, creating a refreshing atmosphere. In addition to its charming scenery, Shanzhugou has an interesting legend. It is said that a long time ago, a pig spirit lived here, and one day, it saw a celestial maiden descending to bathe. Infatuated, the pig spirit stole the maiden's clothes and demanded that she stay with him in exchange for her garments. Although the maiden verbally agreed, she took the clothes and immediately left, leaving the lonely pig spirit behind. Heartbroken, the pig spirit wept continuously, and his tears eroded the coral rock, creating the channels that make up today's Shanzhugou.
