Banana Valley Scenic Area Introduction
In Xiaoliuqiu, aside from the charming seaside scenery, the breathtaking views of Shanzhugou in the mountains are truly exceptional. Visitors can fully immerse themselves in the most famous coral reef karst landscape of Xiaoliuqiu, surrounded by lush greenery. Sunlight shines through the coral reef cracks above, illuminating the leaves of the giant taro, which seem to emit a green glow, bringing a sense of peace and joy. Besides its enchanting views, Shanzhugou also has an interesting legend. Long ago, a mountain pig spirit lived here and one day saw a celestial maiden bathing. Infatuated, the mountain pig spirit stole the maiden's clothes and demanded that she stay with him in exchange for her garments. The maiden verbally agreed, but took her clothes and left, leaving the lonely mountain pig spirit behind. Heartbroken, the mountain pig spirit cried continuously, and his tears eroded the coral rock, leaving behind deep grooves, thus creating today’s Shanzhugou.
