Gaban Bay Scenic Area Introduction
Haban Bay Scenic Area is located between Shanzhugou and Wuguidong, with a coastline of approximately 100 meters, making it the largest shell sand beach in Xiao Liuqiu. This is a rare landscape on the coral reef geological Xiao Liuqiu Island. Haban Bay Beach, also known as Venice Beach, features clean sand, crystal-clear blue waters, and many lovely marine creatures, creating a picturesque scene that attracts visitors. Tourists can not only enjoy the sea but also admire the beautiful sunset in the evening. Xiao Liuqiu is Taiwan's only coral island. Due to tectonic movements, the originally underwater coral reefs have gradually been pushed above sea level, resulting in well-developed limestone cave formations and coral reef coastlines along the entire island. However, the beach landscape at Haban Bay is particularly special, as the shells along the bay's edge have been weathered by seawater over a long period, forming uniformly fine and pure white shell sand, leading to a vast expanse of pristine white beach, which is the most captivating aspect of Haban Bay Beach. Under the sunlight, this shell sand beach sparkles brilliantly. Walking on the romantic white beach, you can casually spot beautiful shell fragments, accompanying you as you enjoy the sunbathing.
