Chihshang Floating Field Introduction
The Chihshang Huanquan Bicycle Path, designed and planned by the Huadong Valley Scenic Area Administration, spans a total length of 8 kilometers and features several different routes along the way. The terrain is relatively flat, with an elevation change of about 5 meters. Along the route, visitors can enjoy an expansive view of fields and scenic farmland typical of Chihshang, with various attractions to appreciate the lush greenery and beautiful pastoral landscapes. The traditional waterwheels of various sizes by the floating irrigation canal evoke the simplicity of rural life in the 1940s and 1950s. There are also rest pavilions where cyclists can stop and take a break, making it a great place for a leisurely bike ride and providing an opportunity to explore parts of Chihshang Township in depth. The floating irrigation canal is currently listed as a historical building in Taitung County. The floating irrigation circular bicycle path is meticulously planned and constructed, following the natural terrain and existing rural paths, beautifully integrating Chihshang's local culture. It consists of main routes A1, A2, and two branch routes, passing through both rice-producing areas and more challenging mountainous paths.
