Kaiyuan Harbor Introduction
Kaiyuan Harbor is the only port for entering and exiting Lanyu. Both passenger ferries, cargo ships, and fishing boats operate from here. To the north of Kaiyuan Harbor is the cape watched over by Red Head Rock, while to the west is an unobstructed view of the sea and sky. Looking towards Coconut Oil Village, you can see the famous Mantou Rock. Nearby Coconut Oil Village serves as the administrative center of Lanyu, where government offices such as the Township Office, Township Representative Council, police station, fishing association, and agricultural association are concentrated. It has a relatively high population and a tidy appearance. At the entrance of Kaiyuan Harbor, there is the only gas station in Lanyu, so don't forget to fill up your gas tank when renting a scooter on the island to begin your exciting journey in Lanyu.
