Kaiyuan Harbor Introduction
Kaohsiung Harbor is the only port for entering and exiting Lanyu, where passenger boats, cargo ships, and fishing boats all come and go. From Kaohsiung Harbor, looking north, you can see the sea cape watched over by Hongtou Rock, and to the west is a breathtaking view of the horizon blending into the sea. If you look toward Coconuts Village, you can spot the famous Mantou Rock. Coconuts Village, located near Kaohsiung Harbor, is the administrative center of Lanyu, where government agencies such as the town office, township representative council, police station, fisheries association, and agricultural association are concentrated. The population here is larger, and the town is more orderly. At the entrance of Kaohsiung Harbor, there is the only gas station on Lanyu.
