Guanshan American School Introduction
Guanshan Rice School is located on Taiwan Highway 9. Formerly an old rice mill, the three-story space has been transformed into an activity base for the Guanshan Farmers' Association to promote and sell Guanshan rice. The exterior of Guanshan Rice School is a colorful painted building, and inside there is an agricultural product exhibition center, a DIY rice food classroom, a rice cultural museum, and more. In addition to showcasing various local agricultural products such as Guanshan rice, rice snacks, and rice desserts, freshly made gourmet food is also very popular among visitors, such as traditional bowl rice, which not only uses Guanshan rice but also incorporates seasonal vegetables and meats sourced from Guanshan. This aims to allow visiting tourists to enjoy the delicious agricultural products that Guanshan farmers take pride in. Furthermore, cooking experience classes can be booked, where participants learn to make delicious dishes using local Taiwanese ingredients under the guidance of instructors. Joining rice-making and farming experience activities allows participants to directly engage in rice milling and harvesting crops, providing a deeper understanding of the challenges of food production, while the process is both fresh and fun, earning high praise from both adults and children.
