Guanshan American School Introduction
The Guanshan Rice School is located along Taiwan Route 9, and was formerly an old rice milling factory. After renovation, it has become an activity base for the Guanshan Farmers' Association to promote and sell Guanshan rice. The exterior of the Guanshan Rice School features colorful murals, while the interior includes an agricultural product exhibition center, a DIY rice food classroom, a rice cultural museum, and more. In addition to showcasing various local agricultural products such as Guanshan rice, rice snacks, and rice desserts, freshly prepared local delicacies are also popular among visitors, such as traditional bowl rice, which not only uses Guanshan rice but also features seasonal vegetables and meats sourced from Guanshan. The aim is to allow visitors to enjoy the delicious agricultural products that the Guanshan farmers take pride in. Moreover, culinary experience courses can be reserved, where participants can learn to prepare delicious dishes using local Taiwanese ingredients under the guidance of an instructor. Engaging in rice production experiences and agricultural activities allows visitors to personally participate in rice milling and harvesting crops, providing a deeper understanding of the effort involved in food production, while the process is fresh and enjoyable, receiving high praise from both adults and children.
