Guanshan American School Introduction
Guanshan Rice School is located on Taiwan Route 9, and its predecessor was an old rice mill. After renovation, the three-story space has become a promotional and sales base for Guanshan rice by the Guanshan Township Farmers' Association. The exterior of Guanshan Rice School is a colorful painted building, and inside, it features an agricultural product exhibition center, a rice-based DIY classroom, and a rice cultural museum, among other facilities. In addition to selling various local agricultural products, such as Guanshan rice, rice snacks, rice desserts, and other local produce, freshly prepared delicacies are also popular among tourists, such as traditional bowl rice, which not only uses Guanshan rice but also incorporates seasonal vegetables and meats from the area. The aim is to allow visitors to enjoy the delicious agricultural products that Guanshan farmers take pride in. Additionally, culinary experience courses can be booked, where participants can learn to create delicious dishes using locally sourced ingredients under the guidance of instructors. Engaging in rice-making and agricultural experience activities allows visitors to personally participate in rice milling and harvesting crops, offering a deeper understanding of the hard work behind food production. This process is both fresh and fun, receiving high praise from both adults and children.
