Guanshan American School Introduction
Guanshan Rice School is located on Taiwan Provincial Highway No. 9. It was formerly an old rice mill, which has been transformed into an event base for the Guanshan Township Farmers' Association to promote and sell Guanshan rice. The exterior of the Guanshan Rice School features colorful murals, while the interior includes a produce exhibition center, a rice DIY classroom, and a rice cultural museum. In addition to showcasing a variety of local agricultural products such as Guanshan rice, rice snacks, rice desserts, and various local produce, the freshly prepared dishes are also popular among visitors. For example, the traditional bowl rice is made with Guanshan rice, and the side dishes are prepared with seasonal ingredients from Guanshan, allowing visitors to enjoy the delicious products that local farmers take pride in. Furthermore, cooking experience classes can be reserved, where under the guidance of instructors, participants can create delicious dishes using local Taiwanese ingredients. Participating in rice-making and agricultural experience activities allows one to personally engage in rice milling and crop harvesting, providing a deeper understanding of the difficulty in sourcing food, while the process is both fresh and fun, receiving positive feedback from both adults and children.
