Guanshan American School Introduction
The Guanshan Rice Cultural School is located on National Route 9 and was originally an old rice mill. After renovation, the three-story space has become a promotional and sales hub for Guanshan Rice managed by the Guanshan Farmers' Association. The exterior of the Guanshan Rice Cultural School is a colorful painted building, and inside, it features an agricultural product exhibition and sales center, a DIY rice cooking classroom, and a rice cultural museum, among others. In addition to showcasing various local agricultural products such as Guanshan Rice, rice snacks, and rice desserts, freshly made dishes are also popular with visitors, such as the traditional bowl rice that uses Guanshan Rice and seasonal vegetables and meats sourced from Guanshan. This aims to allow visiting tourists to enjoy the delicious agricultural products that the Guanshan farmers take pride in. Furthermore, cooking experience courses can be booked, where participants can learn under the guidance of an instructor to make delicious meals using local Taiwanese ingredients. Participating in rice-making and agricultural experiences, including hands-on rice milling and harvesting crops, not only offers a better understanding of the challenges of food production but also provides a refreshing and enjoyable experience that is well-received by both adults and children.
