Huayuan Bay Introduction
Located in Taimali Township, the Dawn Memorial Park on the South Link Highway is a place where many people visit on New Year's Day, cheering as they await the first light of the new year. The beautiful coastal scenery is also a charming aspect of the park. However, beyond the Dawn Memorial Park, there is a lesser-known bay, Huayuan Bay, which also boasts beautiful coastal views. As its name suggests, the road along the coast leads to Huayuan Village in Taimali Township. Nestled between the Central Mountain Range and the Pacific Ocean, this area is an excellent spot for watching the sunrise. On clear days, Green Island and Orchid Island can be seen in the distance, with blue skies and clear seas complementing the flat sandy beach, allowing visitors to enjoy a tropical atmosphere without leaving the country. To facilitate travelers, there is a temporary parking lot and a gazebo along the South Link Highway. The beach features heart-shaped signs and the word "peace," aimed at attracting people to pause and appreciate the beauty of the area. If time permits, visitors can also take photos at the nearby Coconut Avenue, which is only 100 meters long but, with coconut trees lining both sides against the backdrop of the azure sea, has become a new photographic secret spot on the South Link, often referred to as "Coconut Sea Avenue" by photography enthusiasts.
