Hua Yuan Sunrise Viewing Platform Introduction
Located in Taimali, the Huayuanshuguang Scenic Area has become the latest secret spot to enjoy sunrises and sea views in Taitung since it opened in 2021, following the Dulan Station. The spacious platform offers a panoramic view of the M-shaped Huayuan Bay, overlooking the traffic of the Southern Link Railway and Highway 9 below, creating a picturesque scene reminiscent of a postcard with the dynamic trains and the tranquil Pacific Ocean. Nearby, there are also popular photo spots for a comprehensive appreciation of the beautiful blue ocean of Taitung. Train enthusiasts will love the excellent views of the sunrise over the sea and the railway. From the platform, whether it's the orange Taroko Express locomotive or the red and white Puyuma train, the vividly colored trains contrast beautifully with the green mountains nearby, creating a graceful curve, complemented by a clear blue sky dotted with fluffy white clouds, all above the vast and deep Pacific Ocean below. On a clear day, you can even catch a glimpse of the outline of Green Island in the distance, offering excellent visibility.
