Hua Yuan Sunrise Viewing Platform Introduction
Located in Taimali, the Huayan Dawn Viewing Platform has been the latest secret spot for watching sunrises and ocean views in Taitung since its opening in 2021, following the arrival of Duoliang Station. The expansive platform offers a breathtaking view of the M-shaped Huayan Bay, overlooking the flow of traffic on the Southern Link Line and Provincial Highway 9 below, creating a picturesque scene of dynamic trains against the tranquil Pacific Ocean, reminiscent of a postcard. Nearby, there are also photo spots for a comprehensive appreciation of Taitung's breathtaking ocean views. A favorite for railway enthusiasts, it provides an excellent vantage point for enjoying the dawn sea views and railways. From the platform, one can see the orange Ziqiang Express train or the red and white Puyuma train, with their vivid colors forming a beautiful arc against the distant green mountains, complemented by the clear blue sky dotted with fluffy white clouds, all above the vast and deep Pacific Ocean. On clear days, you can even spot the outline of Green Island in the distance, providing an excellent view. It is recommended for photography enthusiasts to check the train schedules in advance to time their visit perfectly, allowing for the chance to capture stunning images of the sea, sky, trains, and roads. The colorful landmark is perfect for taking pictures; in addition to the train and bay scenery, the Huayan Dawn Viewing Platform offers another angle to admire the beauty of the Pacific Ocean. On the other side, there is a giant TAIMALI (太麻里) sign, a vibrant rainbow-colored landmark set against the backdrop of the blue sky and ocean, radiating a youthful summer vibe that is very suitable for friends or families to capture memorable moments.
