Sakura Trail Introduction

The Zhaocun Trail is located at the eastern foothills of Shabokong Mountain. It was previously a mining road for the Taiwan Cement Corporation's Jingshan mining area, and in 2003, it was planned by the Forestry Bureau as a hiking trail. The Zhaocun Trail is approximately 3,950 meters long, with an elevation ranging from 70 to 495 meters. The trail consists of cement paths, gravel roads, and compact soil paths, taking about 90 minutes for a one-way trip. This trail is located near the western suburbs of Hualien City, making it suitable for family-friendly hiking. Although the trail is only four kilometers long, the Forestry Bureau has planned four lookout points where visitors can enjoy the magnificent scenery of Hualien from different heights and angles. The rich natural ecology along the way, along with picturesque views, makes it an ideal spot for watching the sunrise, the night view, and stargazing, leaving visitors enchanted. No matter when you visit, there is always a unique charm to experience here.
