Sakura Trail Introduction

The Zhuangli Trail is located on the eastern foothills of Shapodun Mountain. It was originally a mining road in the Taiwan Cement Jing Shan Mining Area, and in 2003, it was planned as the current trail by the Forestry Bureau. The Zhuangli Trail is approximately 3,950 meters long, with an elevation ranging from 70 to 495 meters. The path consists of concrete roads, gravel paths, or earthen trails, and it takes about 90 minutes to walk one way. This trail is near the western suburbs of Hualien City, making it suitable for family outings and hikes. Although the trail is only four kilometers long, the Forestry Bureau has planned four viewing platforms, allowing visitors to appreciate the magnificent scenery of Hualien from different heights and angles. The rich natural ecological resources along the path, coupled with stunning views, make it a perfect spot for watching sunrises, enjoying night views, and stargazing, ensuring that visitors will be captivated no matter when they come.
