Sakura Trail Introduction

The Zaochuan Trail is located on the eastern slope of Shabakan Mountain. It was formerly a mining road in the Taiwan Cement Jing Shan mining area and was planned as the current trail by the Forestry Bureau in 2003. The trail is approximately 3,950 meters long, with an elevation ranging from 70 to 495 meters. The path consists of cement roads, gravel paths, and compacted earth trails, typically taking about 90 minutes for a one-way trip. This trail is near the western suburbs of Hualien City, making it suitable for family-friendly hikes. Although the trail is only four kilometers long, the Forestry Bureau has designed four viewpoints to allow visitors to enjoy Hualien's magnificent scenery from different heights and perspectives. The rich natural ecological resources and beautiful scenery along the way provide opportunities to watch the sunrise, enjoy night views, and admire the starry sky, making it a memorable experience. Regardless of when you visit, it offers a unique charm.
