Sakura Trail Introduction

The Zakura Trail is located at the eastern foothills of Shapokan Mountain. It was previously a mining road for the Taiwan Cement Jing Shan Mining Area, and was planned as the current trail by the Forestry Bureau in 2003. The Zakura Trail is approximately 3,950 meters long, with an elevation range from 70 to 495 meters. The path consists of concrete roads, gravel paths, and dirt trails, taking about 90 minutes to traverse one way. This trail is situated near the western suburbs of Hualien City, making it suitable for family outings and hikes. Although the trail is only four kilometers long, the Forestry Bureau has designed four viewing platforms along the route, allowing visitors to appreciate Hualien's magnificent scenery from different heights and angles. The rich natural ecological resources and beautiful scenery along the way make it a perfect spot for watching sunrises, enjoying night views, and stargazing, all of which will leave visitors enchanted. No matter when you visit, the experience here is always unique.
