Tzu Chi Cultural Park (Jing Si Hall) Introduction
The Tzu Chi Cultural Park, located on Zhongyang Road in Hualien City, consists of four main areas: the Tzu Chi Medical Center, the Jing Si Hall, the Jing Si Bamboo Lodge, and the Tzu Chi University campus. This site serves as the global hub of Tzu Chi's endeavors and embodies the four major missions of the Tzu Chi Merit Association—"medical care, charity, culture, and education." It continues to radiate the steady strength of Tzu Chi members in Hualien, a pure land in Eastern Taiwan. Tzu Chi also engages in activities such as bone marrow donation, environmental protection, community volunteering, and international disaster relief, all of which are promoted simultaneously under the initiative known as "One Step, Eight Footprints." This philosophy represents a commitment to worldly aspirations through a spiritual approach, spreading great love in the human realm. Standing in this spacious, elegantly designed, and lush green park, one can deeply feel the spirit of Tzu Chi, which unites people from all walks of life, ethnicities, nationalities, and different beliefs to collectively create a pure land of true goodness, beauty, and kindness in the world.
