Tzu Chi Cultural Park (Jing Si Hall) Introduction
The Tzu Chi Cultural Park, located on Zhongyang Road in Hualien City, includes the Tzu Chi Medical Center, the Jing Si Hall, the Jing Si Bamboo Pavilion, and the Tzu Chi University campus. These four major areas serve as the global hub of Tzu Chi's work and embody the four major missions of the Tzu Chi Foundation—"medical care, charity, culture, and education." They continue to emanate the steadfast strength of Tzu Chi volunteers in Hualien, a pure land in Eastern Taiwan. Tzu Chi also engages in activities such as bone marrow donation, environmental protection, community volunteering, and international disaster relief. These eight initiatives, referred to as "Eight Footprints in One Step," embody the spirit of transcending the mundane while actively engaging in philanthropic work to promote great love in the world. Standing in this spacious, elegantly designed, and lush green park, one can deeply feel the spirit of Tzu Chi, as it brings together people from all walks of life, various ethnicities, different nationalities, and diverse beliefs to collectively create a pure land of truth, goodness, and beauty in the world.
