Tzu Chi Cultural Park (Jing Si Hall) Introduction
Located on Central Road in Hualien City, the Tzu Chi Cultural Park encompasses the Tzu Chi Medical Center, the Jing Si Hall, the Jing Si Bamboo Pavilion, and the Tzu Chi University campus. These four areas serve as the central hub for Tzu Chi's global initiatives and embody the four main missions of the Tzu Chi Merit Association—"medical care, charity, culture, and education." Continuously radiating the serene strength of Tzu Chi people in the pure land of Hualien in Eastern Taiwan, Tzu Chi also engages in marrow donation, environmental protection, community volunteering, and international disaster relief. These eight initiatives, promoted simultaneously, are referred to as "one step, eight footprints," embodying a spirit of transcending the world while engaging in the affairs of the world, to promote great love among humanity. Standing in this spacious, elegantly laid-out, and verdant park, one can deeply feel the spirit of Tzu Chi, as it brings together people from various social strata, ethnic groups, nationalities, and beliefs to jointly create a pure land of true kindness and beauty in the world.
