Lotus City Lotus Garden Introduction
Liancheng Lotus Garden is located at the foot of the mountains in Nanhua Village, Ji'an Township, Hualien County. The area covers approximately one hectare, with irrigation sourced from the natural waters of Qilai Mountain, brought in through Mugua Creek, providing clear and pure water. The water temperature remains below 20 degrees Celsius year-round, making it ideal for lotus growth. The garden features more than sixty different varieties of lotus, sixteen types of water lilies, and over seventy species of aquatic plants, creating a spectacular display of blooming lotus flowers throughout the year, filling the air with fragrance. The garden is divided into sections for lotuses, Victoria water lilies, water lilies, aquatic plants, Guanyin lotuses, and night-blooming lotuses. It is primarily focused on the development and research of lotus varieties and operates as a park with free admission. Visitors are treated to complimentary lotus tea and can also receive ecological introductions about lotus flowers if needed. It is an excellent place for families to enjoy flower viewing and the pleasant scent.
