Lotus Garden in Liancheng Introduction
Liancheng Lotus Garden is located at the foot of the mountains in Nanhua Village, Ji'an Township, Hualien County. The area spans approximately one hectare and utilizes natural water from Qilai Mountain for irrigation, which is introduced from Mugua River and is known for its clarity and purity. The water temperature remains below twenty degrees Celsius year-round, making it ideal for lotus growth. The garden features over sixty different varieties of lotus flowers, sixteen species of water lilies, and more than seventy types of aquatic plants, creating a beautiful and fragrant environment throughout the year. The garden is divided into several zones, including the Lotus Area, Victoria Water Lily Area, Water Lily Area, Aquatic Plant Area, Guanyin Lotus Area, and Night Blooming Lotus Area. The main focus of the garden is on the development and research of lotus varieties, operated as a park that requires no admission fee. Free lotus tea is offered to visitors, and ecological introductions about the lotus are available upon request, making it an ideal place for families to enjoy the flowers and the fragrance.
