Lianchihtan Lotus Garden Introduction
Liancheng Lotus Garden is located at the foot of the mountains in Nanhua Village, Ji'an Township, Hualien County. The area spans approximately one hectare and is irrigated with natural water sourced from Qilai Mountain, brought in via Mugua Creek, which is clear and pure. The water temperature remains below twenty degrees Celsius throughout the year, making it ideal for lotus growth. The garden features over sixty different varieties of lotus, sixteen types of water lilies, and more than seventy species of aquatic plants, creating a breathtaking scene filled with vibrant blooms and enchanting fragrances all year round. The garden is divided into various zones: the Lotus Zone, Victoria Regia Zone, Water Lily Zone, Aquatic Plant Zone, Guanyin Lotus Zone, and Night-Blooming Lotus Zone. The primary focus of the garden is on developing and cultivating different species, operating as a park without any entrance fee. Visitors are offered complimentary lotus tea, and guided tours on lotus ecology are available upon request, making it a perfect spot for families to enjoy the scenery and scents of the flowers.
