Nan'an Waterfall Introduction
Starting from the Nan'an Visitor Center, the road gently ascends along the Rakurakuxi Valley, with an asphalt path winding through low-altitude broadleaf forests and reforested trees. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will reach the Nan'an Waterfall. The waterfall is about 50 meters high, adorned with lush green plants on its rocky walls. As a cascading waterfall, it gathers water from surrounding mountain streams, resulting in a substantial flow. The water rushes down the rocky cliff with great momentum, remaining clear throughout the year. The splashing water creates "negative ions," often referred to as "air vitamins," leaving visitors feeling refreshed. The waterfall's water eventually flows into Rakurakuxi, which is the largest tributary of Xiuguluan River. For general visitors, the entirety of the route from the Nan'an Visitor Center to the trailhead of the Wulai Trail via the Nan'an Waterfall is paved, allowing for an easy drive along the scenic path by Rakurakuxi, making it suitable for family outings.
