Batongguan Trail and Lu Ming Suspension Bridge Introduction
The Batongguan Trail at the Luming Suspension Bridge is located in Zhuoxi Township, Hualien County. It is the easternmost section of the Batongguan Trail from the Japanese colonial period. This trail begins at the Luming Suspension Bridge and follows the north bank of the Laku Laku Stream to Zhuole Elementary School, with a total length of approximately 2,700 meters. It is flat and easy to walk, taking about two hours for a one-way trip, or four hours for a round trip. The entire trail is situated in broadleaf forest, with gentle slopes, allowing visitors to observe subtropical plant ecology, enjoy the magnificent beauty of the Laku Laku Stream, and learn about the history and culture of the Batongguan Trail and the Bunun tribe. It is a scenic trail that combines natural resources with cultural history. Transportation information: (1) To reach the western entrance: follow Provincial Highway 30, pass by the Nan'an Waterfall, and about 2.5 km later, turn right. Walk downhill for about 500 meters, and you will see the Luming Suspension Bridge. After crossing the bridge, you will reach the western entrance of the Batongguan Trail at Luming Suspension Bridge. (2) To reach the eastern entrance: follow Provincial Highway 30 and turn right at the signs. Follow the industrial road behind Zhuole Elementary School for about 2.5 kilometers to reach the eastern entrance of the Batongguan Trail at Luming Suspension Bridge.
