Batongguan Yuedao Luming Suspension Bridge Trail Introduction
The Batongguan Trail at Luming Suspension Bridge is located in Zhuoxi Township, Hualien County. It is the easternmost section of the Batongguan Mountain Pass Route from the Japanese colonial period. This trail starts from Luming Suspension Bridge, follows the northern bank of the Raku Raku River, and leads to Zhuole Elementary School, with a total length of about 2,700 meters. It is flat and easy to walk, taking approximately two hours for a one-way trip and four hours for a round trip. The entire Batongguan Trail at Luming Suspension Bridge is situated in broadleaf forest, with a gentle slope making it easy to walk. Along the way, visitors can observe subtropical plant ecology, admire the grandeur of the Raku Raku River, and learn about the cultural and historical significance of the Batongguan Mountain Pass and the Bunun people's heritage. It is a scenic trail that combines natural resources with cultural history. Transportation information: (1) To reach the western entrance: Follow Taiwan Route 30, pass by the Nan'an Waterfall, and approximately 2.5 km further, turn right and walk downhill for about 500 meters to see the Luming Suspension Bridge. After crossing the bridge, the western entrance of the Batongguan Trail at Luming Suspension Bridge will be right there. (2) To reach the eastern entrance: Follow Taiwan Route 30 and turn right as indicated, then drive along the industrial road behind Zhuole Elementary School (about 2.5 kilometers), and you will arrive at the eastern entrance of the Batongguan Trail at Luming Suspension Bridge.
