Batongguan Trail and Lukming Suspension Bridge Introduction
The Batongguan Trail - Luming Suspension Bridge section is located in Zhuoxi Township, Hualien County, and is the easternmost segment of the Batongguan Traverse Trail from the Japanese colonial period. This trail starts from the Luming Suspension Bridge, runs along the north bank of the Lakulaku Creek, and reaches Zhuole Elementary School, with a total length of about 2,700 meters. It is flat and easy to walk, taking approximately two hours for a one-way walk and four hours for a round trip. The entire Batongguan Trail - Luming Suspension Bridge section is situated within broadleaf forests, featuring gentle slopes, allowing for observation of subtropical plant ecology, appreciation of the magnificent beauty of the Lakulaku Creek, and understanding of the cultural history of the Batongguan Traverse Trail and the Bunun people. It is a scenic trail that combines natural resources and cultural history. Transportation information: (1) To reach the western entrance: Follow Highway 30, pass by South An Waterfall, and at about 2.5 kilometers, turn right; walk about 500 meters downhill to see the Luming Suspension Bridge. After crossing the bridge, you will arrive at the western entrance of the Batongguan Trail - Luming Suspension Bridge section. (2) To reach the eastern entrance: Follow Highway 30 and turn right at the sign; proceed along the industrial road behind Zhuole Elementary School (about 2.5 kilometers by vehicle), and you will reach the eastern entrance of the Batongguan Trail - Luming Suspension Bridge section.
