Batongguan Trail and Luming Suspension Bridge Introduction
The Batongguan Trail - Luming Suspension Bridge section is located in Zhuoxi Township, Hualien County, and is part of the easternmost section of the Batongguan Trail from the Japanese colonial period. This trail starts from the Luming Suspension Bridge and runs along the northern bank of the Lakulaku Creek, reaching Zhuole Elementary School, with a total length of approximately 2,700 meters. It is flat and easy to walk, taking about two hours for a one-way walk and four hours for a round trip. The entire trail is surrounded by broadleaf forest, featuring gentle slopes, where visitors can observe subtropical plant ecology, enjoy the magnificent beauty of Lakulaku Creek, and learn about the cultural history of the Batongguan Trail and the Bunun tribe. It is a scenic trail that combines natural resources and cultural history. Transportation information: (1) To reach the west entrance: Take Provincial Highway 30, passing by South An Waterfall, and after about 2.5 kilometers on the right side, walk downhill for about 500 meters to see the Luming Suspension Bridge. After crossing the bridge, you will reach the west entrance of the Batongguan Trail - Luming Suspension Bridge section. (2) To reach the east entrance: Follow Provincial Highway 30 and turn right following the signs, taking the industrial road behind Zhuole Elementary School (approximately 2.5 kilometers by car) to reach the east entrance of the Batongguan Trail - Luming Suspension Bridge section.
