Batongguan Trail Luming Suspension Bridge Introduction
The Batongguan Trail Luming Suspension Bridge section is located in Zhuoxi Township, Hualien County, and is the easternmost segment of the Batongguan Crossing Path from the Japanese colonial period. This trail starts from the Luming Suspension Bridge, follows the northern bank of the Lakulaku Creek, and reaches Zhuole Elementary School, covering a total length of about 2,700 meters. It is flat and easy to walk, with a one-way walking time of approximately two hours, requiring four hours for a round trip. The entire Batongguan Trail Luming Suspension Bridge segment is situated within a broadleaf forest, featuring gentle slopes that are easy to navigate. Along the way, visitors can observe subtropical plant ecology, appreciate the grandeur of Lakulaku Creek, and learn about the history and culture of the Batongguan Crossing Path and the Bunun people. It is a scenic trail that combines natural resources and cultural history. Transportation information: (1) To reach the west entrance: Take Provincial Highway 30 and pass by the Nan'an Waterfall, then at approximately 2.5k mark on the right side, walk downhill for about 500 meters to see the Luming Suspension Bridge. After crossing the bridge, you will arrive at the west entrance of the Batongguan Trail Luming Suspension Bridge section. (2) To reach the east entrance: On Provincial Highway 30, turn right following the signs, and along the industry road behind Zhuole Elementary School (approximately 2.5 kilometers by car), you will reach the east entrance of the Batongguan Trail Luming Suspension Bridge section.
