Bao'an Temple was built by the ancestors who worshiped from the mainland. After crossing the sea to Penghu, it was established in the second year of the Shunzhi period and relocated to its current site in the first year of the Jiaqing period, laying the foundation in this village. Due to guidance and the presence of supernatural phenomena regarding issues like diseases and the local environment, it is still revered and worshiped by the villagers to this day.

Bao'an Temple Introduction

Main deity worshiped: Kongfu Qiansui Festival date: the 24th day of the 4th lunar month. Bao'an Temple was established by our ancestors who came from the mainland and arrived at Penghu. It was built in the 2nd year of the Shunzhi period and was moved to its current location in the 1st year of the Jiaqing period. Due to issues related to diseases and the local geography, it provides clear guidance and miraculous signs for the prayers of the faithful, which is why it is still revered and worshiped by the local community today.
