Bao'an Temple was built in the second year of Shunzhi after the ancestors of the settlers from the mainland came to Penghu across the sea. In the first year of Jiaqing, it was relocated to its current site in the village. Due to its clear guidance and personal divination on issues like diseases and geographical conditions, it is still revered and worshipped by the local residents.

Bao'an Temple Introduction

Main Deity: Kang Fu Qian Sui Festival Date: April 24 of the lunar calendar. Bao'an Temple was established by the ancestors who came from the mainland. It was built in the 2nd year of Shunzhi after crossing the sea to Penghu, and relocated to its current site in the 1st year of Jiaqing. Due to issues related to diseases and local geography, it provides clear guidance and personal manifestations for the devotees' prayers, and is thus revered and worshipped by the local community to this day.
