Located on the west coast of Matsu City Wall, this temple was built in the 35th year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1696). It is dedicated to Guanyin, the Bodhisattva of the South Sea, and was rebuilt in its current form in the second year of the Showa era during Japanese occupation (1927).

Guanyin Pavilion Introduction

Deity Worshiped: Guanyin Bodhisattva Festival Dates: Lunar April 8, Lunar June 19, Lunar September 19 Located by the west coast of Magong City Wall, it is a temple building established in the 35th year of the Kangxi era (1696). The temple enshrines the South Sea Guanyin Bodhisattva and was reconstructed in the second year of the Showa era (1927) to its current appearance. In 2003, it was rebuilt again according to ancient methods, fully preserving this county-designated historical site. The plaques inside the temple are also considered treasures of Shizi Township temple, holding significant value.
