Located on the west side of the Mamgong City Wall by the coast, this temple was built in the 35th year of the Kangxi era (1696). It enshrines the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva of the South Sea and was rebuilt to its current appearance in the second year of the Showa era (1927).

Guanyin Pavilion Introduction

Main Deity: Guanyin Bodhisattva Festival Dates: Lunar April 8th, Lunar June 19th, Lunar September 19th Located on the western side of the city walls of Magong, this temple was built in the 35th year of the Kangxi reign (1696). The temple enshrines the Bodhisattva Guanyin of the South Sea and was reconstructed in its present form in the second year of the Showa period (1927). In 2003, it was once again rebuilt according to ancient methods, preserving this county-designated historical site. The plaque within the temple is also regarded as a treasure of Shizi Town Temple, possessing great value.
