Located on the west coast of Magong City Wall, this temple was built in the 35th year of the Kangxi era (1696). It enshrines the Guanyin Bodhisattva of the South Sea and was rebuilt to its current form in the second year of the Showa era (1927).

Guanyin Pavilion Introduction

Main Deity: Guanyin Bodhisattva Festival Dates: 8th day of the 4th lunar month, 19th day of the 6th lunar month, 19th day of the 9th lunar month. Located on the west side of the Mazu City wall by the coast, this temple was built in the 35th year of the Kangxi era (1696). It venerates the Bodhisattva of the South China Sea, Guanyin. The temple was rebuilt to its current appearance in the 2nd year of the Showa era (1927) during Japanese rule and was restored again in 2003 according to ancient methods, preserving this county-designated historic site. The plaques within the temple are also regarded as treasures of Shishi Township, holding great value.
