Xiying Rainbow Bridge Introduction
The Xiying Rainbow Bridge is located within the Guanyin Pavilion Seaside Park in Magong City, Penghu County. The county government invested millions in building it on the offshore embankment of the Guanyin Pavilion, completing it in 2004. It is the first steel arch bridge in the Penghu area, measuring 200 meters in length and 4.6 meters in width at its clearest point, with a height of about 15 meters above sea level. The bridge is equipped with colorful lighting in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet, which replicates the atomic spectrum of a rainbow. Given the Guanyin Pavilion's reputation for being a scenic spot, the bridge was named accordingly. The Xiying Rainbow Bridge, combined with the surrounding beautiful scenery of the Guanyin Pavilion, creates a romantic and pleasant view. At night, the colorful neon lights on the arch bridge become even more dazzling. It is a popular spot for local residents and tourists to exercise, walk, and enjoy the scenery. This location is also where the Penghu Ocean Fireworks Festival is held in recent summers.
