Penghu Guanyin Pavilion Pet Park Introduction
Located within the Guanyin Pavilion Coastal Recreation Park, behind the Sailing Training Center, and near the Penghu Marine and Fisheries Vocational School and the coastal parking lot, the location is very convenient. The county government has invested over NT$2 million to create a special pet area called "Dog Paradise." This pet park, located in the coastal area, offers a wide view, allowing for distant views of the cross-sea bridge and Xiyu Island, making it a comfortable and pleasant spot. It provides a suitable dedicated space for pet dogs to exercise and play, while also serving as a park for interaction with other dogs. The pet activity area covers 0.2 hectares and is divided into spaces for large and small dogs to differentiate their activity ranges. Dogs weighing 9 kg or below are considered small dogs, while those above are large dogs; it is recommended to enter the respective areas based on weight. The activity area features items such as tunnels and hills, with safety fences set up to prevent pets from getting lost or wandering into traffic, which could pose dangers. Owners can bring their own balls or frisbees to interact and bond with their dogs, or sit on the stone benches nearby to enjoy the sea view with their dogs. The park also has three centralized dog waste bins and provides trash bags, encouraging owners to clean up after their pets to keep the environment tidy, as good facilities should be maintained by everyone.
