Penghu Ocean Geological Park Center Introduction
♦Penghu Marine Geology Park Center♦ The Penghu Marine Geology Park Center is established by the Penghu County Government in relation to the geological park, located next to the Third Fishing Harbor, just a street away from Magong City Office. Inside the geological center, there are introductions to the geological park, as well as distribution maps of Penghu’s nature reserves, including the Cat Island Bird Sanctuary and the Qimei Stone Tool Factory, a geological timeline of Penghu, geological parks from around the world, Taiwanese geological parks, stone material life themes, Penghu's unique landscapes, and introductions to basalt, among other rich and detailed content. Although the interior space is not large, it is divided into 15 areas, including: "Penghu Basalt Display," "Penghu Unique Landscapes," "Introduction to Basalt," "Penghu Geological Timeline," "Penghu Six Major Geological Parks," "Penghu's Nature and Bird Reserves," "Qimei Stone Tool Factory," "World Common Assets," "Stone Material Life Theme," "Audio-Visual Room," "Library and Stone Crafts," and "Interactive Educational Activities." Notably, the exterior of the geological center primarily uses stone and follows a traditional Japanese style, making it a very distinctive building. The interior is divided into many exhibition areas, with wooden stairs, allowing visitors to ascend to higher areas for a better view. Many areas within are also dedicated to scientific education for children! The Rock Blue Cave VR experience allows everyone to glimpse the natural beauty of Penghu. The Penghu County Government has built a mini Blue Cave VR experience theater at the Penghu Marine Geology Park Center, with the exterior walls mimicking basalt, and blue soft lighting on the floor, creating the feel of entering a mysterious blue cave. Players will ride dynamic seats wearing VR glasses, soaring through 360-degree panoramic photography to experience the beauty of Penghu's geological landscape, completing an adventure that can't be achieved in real life. The mini Blue Cave VR experience theater currently provides two films for visitors, "Overlooking Penghu 360" aerial film, and "Penghu Underwater 360" underwater photography film, allowing visitors to choose their preferred film type.
