Penghu Ocean Geology Park Center, located near the Magong City Hall, is a geological center established by the government. The center provides information about the geological park, as well as Penghu's nature reserves, maps of the distribution of the Matsu seabird protection area and Qimei stone tools factory, the geological timeline of Penghu, geological parks around the world, geological parks in Taiwan, themes related to stone materials, unique landscapes of Penghu, an introduction to basalt, and much more, all in great detail.

♦Penghu Marine Geology Park Center♦ The Penghu Marine Geology Park Center is established by the Penghu County Government to promote the geological park, located next to the Third Fish Port and just a street away from Magong City Hall. The center includes information about the geological park, the natural reserves of Penghu, distribution maps of the Cat Island seabird protection area and the Qimei stone factory, a geological timeline of Penghu, geological parks around the world, Taiwan's geological parks, stone life themes, unique landscapes of Penghu, basalt introductions, and much more, making it very rich and detailed. Although the internal space is not large, it is divided into 15 zones, including: "Basalt Display of Penghu," "Unique Landscapes of Penghu," "Introduction to Basalt," "Geological Timeline of Penghu," "Six Major Geological Parks of Penghu," "Natural and Seabird Reserves of Penghu," "Qimei Historical Stone Factory," "Shared Global Assets," "Stone Life Themes," "Audio-Visual Room," "Library and Stone Crafts," and "Interactive Educational Activities." Notably, the exterior of the geological center primarily features stone and adopts a blend of traditional and Japanese-style architecture, making it a very distinctive building. The interior is divided into many exhibition areas, featuring wooden staircases, allowing visitors to enjoy the exhibits from elevated positions. There are also many areas dedicated to scientific education for children! The Rock Blue Cave - VR Experience aims to provide everyone with a glimpse of the natural beauty of Penghu. The Penghu County Government has built a mini blue cave VR experience theater inside the Penghu Marine Geology Park Center. The exterior wall resembles realistic basalt, and the ground is illuminated with soft blue light, making it feel as if one has entered a magical blue cave. Players will sit in dynamic seats, wear VR goggles, and soar through 360-degree aerial photography to experience the beauty of Penghu's geological landscapes, completing an adventure that cannot be realized in real life. The mini blue cave VR experience theater currently offers two films for visitors to enjoy: "Aerial View of Penghu 360," and "Underwater Penghu 360." Visitors can choose the type of experience they prefer. If you do not arrive on time for your reserved slot, please follow staff instructions to use the equipment during free time. 【Aerial View of Penghu 360】 "Aerial View of Penghu 360" simulates the perspective of a terns flying in the sky, showcasing the Penghu archipelago composed of nearly a hundred islands through drone footage. This aerial view provides a unique and breathtaking view of the basalt terrain of the Penghu islands. The film introduces many famous basalt geological sites in Penghu, such as: the Blue Cave on Xijij Island in the Southern Four Islands (also known as the Stove), the double heart stone weir and Little Taiwan in Qimei, the island known as the Yellowstone Park of the Sea, Tungkeng Island, the Moses Split between Kui Bi Mountain and Chi Island, the most beautiful Shawei Beach in Jibei, the Whale Cave on Xiaomen Island, and the coral reef ecosystem in the secret forest growing in the continental shelf. The entire film is approximately 3.5 minutes long, showcasing stunning views that make viewers want to explore these places immediately. Seeing the beauty of the basalt terrain in Penghu deepens the impression of this basalt hometown, enhancing appreciation and love for the Penghu archipelago. 【Underwater Penghu 360】 "Underwater Penghu 360" is an underwater film produced by the renowned director Yuan Hsu-Hu, known for filming underwater photography movies in Taiwan. This film is shot using 360-degree photography and 4K underwater filming technology, capturing panoramic scenes of the underwater wonders around the Penghu archipelago. The film has a length of 2 minutes and 30 seconds, showcasing famous underwater locations in Penghu, including the underwater mailbox, Lock Port, Coral Garden, Xijij Castle, Lavender Forest, Dongji Corridor, and the underwater corridor between East and West Xiji. Besides revisiting the underwater movie scenes from "Dongjing Beiwai," the film allows the audience to observe many colorful underwater scenes. Additionally, given Yuan Hsu-Hu's concern for marine ecology, the film aims to raise awareness of the importance of marine environments while showcasing the rich underwater ecology and beautiful marine landscapes.
