Chung Hua University Introduction
Founded in 1990, Chung Hua University originated as Chung Hua Institute of Technology, established by Lin Cheng-Tze, Wang Rong-Chang, and Tsai Chao-Chang. In 1997, it was transformed into Chung Hua University, which has deep connections with the nearby National Chiao Tung University, sharing similar faculty and academic development goals, earning it the nickname "Little Chiao Da." Located in a suburban area, the university is near Qingshui Lake and surrounded by mountains, offering a simple and natural landscape. Chung Hua University covers approximately 20 hectares, with most of the campus buildings designed collaboratively by the faculty and students of the College of Architecture, emphasizing scenic and ecological design. Utilizing the natural terrain, it establishes an ecological landscape campus with views of ponds, water features, and greenery. The vibrant and modern campus buildings include viewing trails, landscape nurseries, parks, cafes, and barbecue areas, creating a beautifully green environment that feels natural and unforced.
