Chung Hua University Introduction
Established in 1990, Chung Hua University was originally founded as Chung Hua Institute of Technology by Lin Cheng-Tse, Wang Jung-Chang, and Tsai Chao-Chang. In 1997, it was renamed Chung Hua University and has deep connections with the nearby National Chiao Tung University, closely aligning in terms of faculty and academic development goals, earning it the nickname "Little Chiao Da." Located in a suburban area, the university is near Qingcao Lake and surrounded by mountains, offering a picturesque and natural scenery. Covering an area of approximately 20 hectares, most of the campus buildings were designed collaboratively by faculty and students from the School of Architecture, emphasizing scenic and ecological design. Utilizing the natural terrain, the campus features an ecological landscape design with views of ponds, water bodies, and greenery, combined with vibrant and modern architectural structures. The campus includes viewing pathways, scenic nurseries, park squares, coffee leisure restaurants, and barbecue areas, creating a lush and natural environment without being artificial, thus forming a beautiful campus setting.
