Chung Hua University Introduction
Founded in 1990, Chung Hua University was originally established as Chung Hua Institute of Technology by Lin Cheng-Tse, Wang Jung-Chang, and Tsai Chao-Chang. In 1997, it was restructured into Chung Hua University, which has deep connections with the nearby National Chiao Tung University, sharing similar faculty and academic development goals, thus earning the nickname "Little Chiao Tung University." Located in the suburban area, the university is near Qingshui Lake and surrounded by mountains, offering a simple and natural landscape. Covering approximately 20 hectares, the campus buildings were primarily designed by the faculty and students of the College of Architectural Design, emphasizing scenic and ecological design. The ecological landscape campus is established using the natural terrain features, with views surrounded by ponds, water, and greenery, alongside colorful, modern building designs. It features scenic walkways, a landscape nursery, a park square, a café, and barbecue areas, all contributing to a vibrant and harmonious campus environment.
