Zhang's Memorial Arch for Filial Piety Introduction
To honor Zheng Yongjin's wife, Zhang Zao-niang, a memorial archway was officially built in the tenth year of the Tongzhi era (1871) by the Wan Nian Bridge in Nanya. Zhang Zao-niang married Zheng Yongjin as his second wife in 1820. After Zheng Yongjin passed away, she independently raised their three sons and remained filial and devoted for forty-nine years, which is a rare case of being commemorated with a memorial archway for her lifetime of virtue.
