Zhang's Martyrs' Memorial Arch Introduction
To honor Zheng Yongjin's wife, Zhang Zaoniang, a memorial archway was officially built in the 10th year of the Tongzhi era (1871) by the Wan Nian Bridge in Nanya. Zhang Zaoniang married Zheng Yongjin as his second wife in 1820. After Zheng Yongjin passed away, Zhang Zaoniang took on the responsibility of raising their three sons alone, demonstrating exceptional filial piety and remaining chaste for forty-nine years, making her a unique case for the honor of having a memorial plaque.
