Zhang's Martyrs' Pavilion Introduction
To honor Zheng Yongjin's wife, Zhang Zaoniang, the construction of the memorial arch was approved in the fifth year of the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty, and it was officially built in the tenth year of Tongzhi (1871) by the Wan Nian Bridge in Nanya. Zhang Zaoniang married Zheng Yongjin as his secondary wife in 1820. After Zheng Yongjin's passing, she independently raised their three sons, demonstrating great filial piety and upholding her chastity for forty-nine years, making her a unique case to receive such a memorial arch.
