Zhang's Filial Piety Archway Introduction
To honor Zheng Yongjin's wife, Zhang Zaoniang, the Qing Dynasty approved the construction of a memorial arch in the fifth year of the Tongzhi reign. The Zhang Family's Chastity Arch was officially built in 1871, located beside Wan Nian Bridge in Nanya. Zhang Zaoniang married Zheng Yongjin as his second wife in 1820. After Zheng's death, she independently raised their three sons, showing profound filial piety and maintaining her chastity for forty-nine years, which is a rare instance of being recognized with a memorial arch personally witnessed.
