Yang's Filial Piety Archway Introduction
The Yang Family Sacred Grief Archway is the first archway in Hsinchu City and is also the oldest existing archway in Northern Taiwan. Yang Ju-Niang, the wife of Zhuqianlin Chi, lost her husband at the age of twenty-four and attempted to follow him multiple times in death. She assumed the role of both mother and father, enduring hardship and dedicating herself to raising her children until her passing at the age of forty-five, making her a model of filial piety and chastity.
