Li Sih-Chin Filial Piety Archway Introduction
Li Xi-jin was born in 1786 and was known for his dedication to public welfare and filial piety. He, along with the first-degree examination graduate Zheng Yong-xi, traveled to various places to resolve conflicts. The local gentry, moved by his acts of filial piety and righteousness, recommended him for recognition, leading to the establishment of a filial piety archway. This archway is made of Quanzhou white stone, with a plaque of greenish stone, and the base is comprised of supporting stones shaped like gourds, making it the only surviving filial piety archway in Taiwan.
