Li Xi Jin Filial Piety Square Introduction
Li Hsi-chin was born in 1786, dedicated to public welfare, and deeply filial. He once collaborated with the first-degree scholar Cheng Yung-shih to pacify local conflicts in various places. Recognizing his filial piety and noble deeds, local gentry recommended him for an award, and a Filial Son Archway was erected in his honor. This archway is made of Quanzhou white stone, with a plaque made of blue stone, and the base consists of a gourd-shaped drumstone, making it the only remaining Filial Son Archway in Taiwan.
