Li Xi Jin Filial Piety Square Introduction
Li Xijin was born in 1786. He was enthusiastic about public service and showed great filial piety. He worked with the first-degree scholar Zheng Yongsu to resolve conflicts in various places. The local gentry appreciated his filial conduct and righteous actions, recommending him for an award, and a filial piety archway was established in his honor. This archway is made of Quanzhou white stone, with the plaque made of blue stone, and the base consists of gourd-shaped "hugging drum stones." It is currently the last remaining filial piety archway in Taiwan.
