Guqi Mountain Introduction

Guqi Peak, located on Gaofeng Road in Hsinchu City, was formerly known as Pingpu Peak and is listed as one of the "New Eight Scenic Spots of Hsinchu" for its view known as "Guqi Overlooking." The Guqi Peak Scenic Area is named after its temples and deities, with Putiangong being the largest, which is a temple dedicated to Guan Yu, featuring a famous 120-foot-tall statue of him. The once-popular Guqi Peak Glass Street is now faintly visible, and in the square in front of Putiangong, there is the Guqi Peak Recreational Park, where visitors can climb for a beautiful view. The indoor exhibition showcases valuable artifacts and antiques for public viewing and also provides a barbecue area for tourists, making it a great spot for picnics and outings on weekends.
