Guqi Mountain Introduction
Guqifeng, located on Gaofeng Road in Hsinchu City, was formerly known as Pingpuding and is listed as one of the "New Eight Sights of Hsinchu" for its scenic viewpoints. The Guqifeng Scenic Area is known for its temples and statues, among which Puten Temple, the largest, is a temple dedicated to Guan Yu and features a famous 120-foot tall statue of Guan Yu. The once-famous Guqifeng Glass Street can still be faintly seen today. Additionally, the Guqifeng Recreation Area located in front of Puten Temple allows visitors to climb for beautiful views. The indoor exhibition displays precious artifacts and antiques for visitors, and there is also a barbecue area provided for tourists, making it a great spot for outdoor activities on weekends.
