Guqi Mountain Introduction
Guqi Mountain, located on Gaofeng Road in Hsinchu City, was formerly known as Pingpu Top and is listed as one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Hsinchu with its view called "Guqi Far Sight". The Guqi Mountain Scenic Area is named after its temples and deities, with Putian Temple being the largest, dedicated to Guan Yu, and featuring a famous 120-foot tall statue of Guan Yu. The once-famous Guqi Mountain Glass Street can still be faintly seen, and in front of Putian Temple, there's the Guqi Mountain Recreation Park, where visitors can climb to enjoy the beautiful views. The indoor exhibition features precious artifacts and antiques for public viewing, and there is also a barbecue area available for tourists, making it a great spot for outdoor activities on weekends.
