Guqi Mountain Introduction
Guchi Peak, located on Gaofeng Road in Hsinchu City, was formerly known as Pingpu Top and is listed as one of the New Eight Views of Hsinchu for its scenic overlook known as "Guchi Overlook." The Guchi Peak Scenic Area is named after temples and deities, with the most prominent being Putian Temple, which is dedicated to Guan Yu, featuring a famous 120-foot tall statue of him. The once-renowned Guchi Peak Glass Street is now faintly visible, and in addition, the Guchi Peak Recreation Park located in front of Putian Temple offers panoramic views and features a collection of valuable artifacts and antiques for visitors to admire. It also provides barbecue areas for tourists, making it a great spot for outings and picnics on weekends.
