Yuanlinzi Community Introduction
Yuanlinzi, a Historical Preservation Area of Simple Nature, is a small settlement that formed over a hundred years ago on hilly terrain, deeply rooted by the Ji and Huang families. It boasts abundant natural resources, including century-old lychee trees and cold springs. In 2003, the Wilderness Protection Association identified the rich biodiversity of local flora and fauna, including various insects and amphibians, making it a paradise on the outskirts of the city. In recent years, with the guidance of the city government, the Yuanlinzi Ecological Arts Development Association has been established, actively engaging in community building efforts to preserve historical sites such as the hundred-year-old lychee trees, ancient wells, cold springs, and tombs. Through various activities, they aim to help more people understand this beautiful land of Yuanlinzi. Historical Tidbit: The name "Yuanlinzi" comes from the area's round basket-like terrain, hence it is often referred to as "Yuanlinzi." The settlement includes land names like Yuanlinzi, Huaiyaozi, Liujiaozai, and Mupu.
