Yuanlinzi Community Introduction
Yuanlinzi is a historically preserved area with rustic nature. It is a small settlement that emerged over a hundred years ago on undulating land, deeply rooted by the Ji and Huang families. The area is rich in natural resources, including hundred-year-old lychee trees and cold springs. In 2003, the Wild at Heart Legal Defense Association observed that the local flora and fauna, as well as insects, frogs, and butterflies, contributed to this place being a veritable hidden paradise at the edge of the city. In recent years, with the guidance of the city government, the Yuanlinzi Ecological Arts Development Association was established, actively engaging in community development efforts. This has allowed the historical relics, such as the hundred-year-old lychee trees, ancient wells, cold springs, and old tombs to be well-preserved, while various activities help more people understand the beauty of Yuanlinzi. Historical Trivia: The name "Yuanlinzi" derives from the circular shape of the terrain, hence referred to as "circular basket." It is commonly called "Yuanlinzi" today, and the settlement includes place names such as Yuanlinzi, Huiaozai, Liujaozai, and Mupu.
