Wanli Fishing Village Life Museum Introduction
Wanli District, located by the sea, primarily relies on fishing and coastal tourism. It is known for the Yehliu Geopark and its iconic "Queen's Head" rock formation. Surrounding ports are filled with fishing boats, and the Wanli Fishing Village Living Museum is a great place to learn about fishing knowledge. The museum was established based on the ocean classroom of Yehliu Elementary School and showcases common fishing village tools such as fish traps, crab traps, drift nets, fish finders, fishing lights, anchors, fishing gear, and bait, all sourced from the storerooms of local elders. These exhibits record the historical traces of the fishing village's evolution and narrate the hardworking lives of fishermen over the decades, allowing visitors to step into a time tunnel of early fishing village life.
