Wanli Fishing Village Life Museum Introduction
Wanli District, located by the sea, primarily relies on fishing and coastal tourism. It is well-known for the Yehliu Geopark and its iconic geological formation, the "Queen's Head." Surrounding ports are filled with fishing boats, and the Wanli Fishing Village Living Museum is a great place to learn about fishing knowledge. Established based on the ocean classroom of Yehliu Elementary School, the museum exhibits common fishing tools from the village such as fish traps, crab traps, gill nets, fish finders, fishing lights, anchors, fishing tackle, and baits, all sourced from the storages of local elders. These items record the historical traces of the fishing village's evolution and narrate the hard work and struggles of fishermen over the decades, immersing visitors in a time tunnel that reflects the early life of the fishing village.
