Wanli Fisherman's Village Life Museum Introduction
Wanli District is located by the sea, thus primarily focused on fisheries and coastal tourism. It is known for the Yehliu Geopark and the iconic "Queen's Head" rock formation. The surrounding ports are filled with fishing boats, and the Wanli Fishing Village Life Museum is a great place to learn about fishing knowledge. The museum is based on the ocean classroom of Yehliu Elementary School and exhibits common fishing village artifacts such as fish traps, crab traps, driftnets, fish finders, fishing lights, anchors, fishing gear, and bait, which have all been moved from the homes of community elders. These items record the historical traces of the fishing village's changes and narrate the hard-earned stories of fishermen over the decades, allowing visitors to reminisce and feel as if they are stepping into the time tunnel of early fishing village life.
