Wanli Fishing Village Life Museum Introduction
Wanli District is located by the sea, thus its economy primarily revolves around fishing and coastal tourism. It is well-known for the Yehliu Scenic Area and its iconic "Queen's Head" rock formation. The surrounding ports are filled with fishing boats, and the Wanli Fishing Village Living Museum is an excellent place to learn about fishing knowledge. Established based on the marine classroom of Yehliu Elementary School, the museum showcases common fishing village items such as fish traps, crab pots, set nets, fish finders, fishing lights, anchors, fishing tackle, and bait. These items have been collected from the warehouses of elderly residents in the community, preserving the historical traces of the fishing village's evolution and narrating the hardships and labor of fishermen over the decades. Visiting the museum feels like stepping into a time tunnel of early fishing village life.
