Wanli Fishing Village Life Museum Introduction
Wanli District is located by the sea, making fishing and coastal tourism its main industries. It is well-known for the Yehliu Geopark and its famed "Queen's Head" rock formation. The surrounding ports are filled with fishing boats, and the Fishing Village Living Museum is a great place to learn about fishing knowledge. The Wanli Fishing Village Living Museum was established based on the ocean classroom of Yehliu Elementary School. The museum showcases common fishing village tools such as fish traps, crab traps, gill nets, fish finders, fish aggregating lights, anchors, fishing gear, and bait, all of which were collected from the storage of community elders. These items record the historical traces of the fishing village's evolution and tell the story of the hard work and toil of fishermen over the decades, allowing visitors to enter a time tunnel reminiscent of early fishing village life.
