Wanli Fishing Village Life Museum Introduction
Wanli District is located by the sea, making its main industries fishing and coastal tourism. It is well-known for the Yehliu Geopark and its distinctive rock formation, the "Queen's Head." The surrounding ports are filled with fishing boats, and the Wanli Fishing Village Life Museum is a great place to learn about fishing knowledge. The museum was established based on the ocean classroom of Yehliu Elementary School and features displays of common fishing village items such as fish traps, crab traps, gill nets, fish finders, fishing lights, anchors, fishing gear, and bait, all sourced from the homes of community elders. These items document the historical traces of the fishing village and tell the stories of the hard work and struggles of fishermen over the decades, allowing visitors to step into a time tunnel of early fishing village life.
