Taipei Water Park Introduction

The Taipei Water Park is located in the southern part of the Taipei Basin, in the hub of the Gongguan business district, covering an area of about 20 hectares. The natural environment, nestled by mountains and water, is the source of Taipei's tap water. In addition to water-themed gardens and fountain gardens for children and adults to enjoy, the park is also an environmental education facility with a focus on "water resource conservation." The site includes the operational Gongguan Water Purification Plant and historic facilities such as the Taipei Waterway water source pumping station (Taipei Water Museum), the Guanyin Mountain reservoir, the water measurement room, and the post-war Muddy Water Pumping Station, all of which are architectural heritage. The park's environmental education center has carefully developed water resource lesson plans suitable for different age groups. Additionally, the small Guanyin Mountain, which spans about 5 hectares within the park, has preserved a native broadleaf forest ecosystem typical of low-altitude hills, allowing for ecological exploration courses. Together with the nearby Treasure Hill Artist Village, Hakka Cultural Park, and riverside bike paths, it offers a variety of options for visitors.
