Taipei Water Park Introduction
The Taipei Water Park is located in the southern part of the Taipei Basin, in the bustling area of the Gongguan commercial district. Covering approximately 20 hectares, the park features a natural environment adjacent to mountains and water, serving as the source of Taipei's water supply. In addition to water-themed gardens and fountain gardens that provide a joyful space for both children and adults to enjoy water activities, it is also an environmental education facility with a theme centered on "water resource conservation." The park includes the operational Gongguan Water Purification Plant, as well as historical water supply facilities such as the water source facility and pump room (Taipei Water Museum) built during the Japanese era, which had the highest water supply capacity in Taiwan, the Guanyin Mountain Reservoir, the flow measurement room, and the post-war murky water pumping station, among other historical buildings. The park's environmental education center has meticulously developed water resource educational programs suitable for different age groups. Additionally, the small Guanyin Mountain, which covers about 5 hectares within the park, preserves a native broadleaf forest ecosystem typical of low-elevation hills, allowing for ecological exploration courses. With nearby attractions such as the Treasure Hill International Art Village, Hakka Cultural Theme Park, and riverside bike paths, the park offers a variety of diverse options.
