Taipei Water Park Introduction
The Taipei Water Park is located in the southern part of the Taipei Basin, at the hub of the Gongguan shopping district, covering an area of approximately 20 hectares. The natural environment is close to the mountains and rivers, serving as the source of Taipei's water supply. In addition to water-themed gardens and fountain gardens that provide fun areas for children and adults to engage with water, the park is an environmental education facility focusing on "water resource conservation." It includes the operational Gongguan Water Purification Plant and features historical sites such as the Water Museum, constructed during the Japanese era, which was the highest water supply facility in Taiwan, as well as the Guanyin Mountain Reservoir, the water measurement station, and the post-war muddy water pumping station. The park's Environmental Education Center develops tailored water resource educational programs suitable for different age groups. Additionally, the small Guanyin Mountain within the park, covering about 5 hectares, preserves primary broadleaf forest ecology typical of low-elevation mountain areas and offers ecological exploration courses. Along with nearby attractions such as the Treasure Hill Artist Village, the Hakka Cultural Theme Park, and riverside bike paths, visitors have diverse options to choose from.
