Sakura Street Introduction
Located in the Sanzi District of New Taipei City, cherry blossoms have been planted alongside the roads since 1996, with over 16,000 cherry trees in the Sanzi area. The 70-kilometer cherry blossom path along Qingshan Road is a popular cherry blossom viewing spot in Sanzi. Each spring, as the weather warms and cools, various types of cherry blossoms including Prunus serrulata 'Kanzan', Prunus x yedoensis, and others bloom in succession, maintaining overlapping bloom periods for up to two months. Notable cherry blossom roads include Dahhu Road and Qingshan Road, which are rich in various shellfish, featuring coffee stations, scenic walking paths, and observation decks along the way; amidst the picturesque scenery of the North Coast. Additionally, the cherry blossom path represents one of the most renowned cycling routes for cherry blossom viewing on the North Coast, with many visitors choosing to enjoy the views by riding bicycles; the route includes coffee stations, scenic walking paths, and observation decks for tourists to stop and admire the beautiful cherry blossoms.
