Sakuragi Hanamichi Introduction
Located in Sanjhih District, New Taipei City, cherry blossoms have been planted along the roads since 1996. The Sanjhih area has over 16,000 cherry trees, with a 70-kilometer-long cherry blossom corridor along Qingshan Road, making it a popular cherry blossom viewing spot in Sanjhih. Every spring, as the weather starts to warm up, various types of cherry blossoms, including Prunus campanulata, Yaezakura, and Yoshino cherry bloom in succession, extending their blooming period for up to two months. Notable cherry blossom roads include Dahu Road and Qingshan Road, which are rich in various shellfish, and there are coffee stations along the route, as well as scenic walking paths and observation decks; amidst the beautiful scenery of the northern coast. Additionally, the cherry blossom corridor is also the most famous bicycle route for cherry blossom viewing on the northern coast, with many visitors opting to enjoy the scenery by cycling.
