Sakuragi Hanamichi Introduction
Located in Sanjhih District, New Taipei City, cherry blossoms have been planted along the roads since 1996, with over 16,000 cherry trees in the area. The 70-kilometer-long cherry blossom boulevard along Qingshan Road is a popular cherry blossom viewing spot in Sanjhih. Each spring, during the transition from chilly to warm weather, the various cherry blossoms, including Prunus serrulata 'Fukubana', 'Yaezakura', and 'Yoshino', bloom in succession, with their flowering period lasting up to two months. Notable cherry blossom paths include Dah Lake Road and Qingshan Road, which are rich in various shellfish, and feature coffee stands, scenic walking paths, and viewpoints along the way; all against the backdrop of the beautiful sea and sky of the North Coast. Additionally, the cherry blossom boulevard is one of the most famous cycling routes for cherry blossom viewing along the North Coast, with many visitors choosing to enjoy the scenery by riding bicycles. Along the route, there are coffee stands, scenic trails, and viewpoints for visitors to pause and admire the beautiful cherry blossoms. It is highly recommended to visit Sanjhih during the annual cherry blossom bloom for a romantic cycling experience.
