Dongguang Garden Path Introduction
Taichung City has a pleasant climate and features a unique greenway system, which has recently promoted dedicated bicycle paths, integrating various living functions and planning bicycle routes that encompass cultural, emotional, and tourism themes. The Dongguang Greenway Bicycle Path is part of Taichung City’s Circular Recreational Bicycle Path. This section of the route starts at Taichung Station and follows the path parallel to the longitudinal railway while enjoying the breeze. It then turns into the Hansi Old Street area, where the famous Lecheng Temple, known as one of the Four Great Mazu Temples, is located. Lecheng Temple has a long history and is designated as a city-level heritage site. Riding along the Dongguang Greenway offers shade from the lush green leaves of the small-leafed olive trees, creating a cool and comfortable experience thanks to the large, tall trees that provide extensive coverage. This section of the Circular Recreational Bicycle Path is the most refreshing. The Dongguang Greenway Bicycle Path is very suitable for family outings and also leads cyclists to Dazhi Park and Dongfeng Park. By passing through the towering blackboard tree forest, you can reach National Chung Hsing University.
