Dongguang Park Trail Introduction
Taichung City has a pleasant climate and boasts a unique parkway system. In recent years, it has also been actively promoting dedicated cycling lanes that integrate various aspects of daily life while planning bicycle paths themed around culture, emotion, and tourism. The Dongguang Parkway Bike Path is part of Taichung City's urban leisure bicycle path system. This cycling route starts from Taiyuan Station and follows the old railway, riding with the train. It then leads into the Hanjing Old Street area, where the Lecheng Temple, recognized as one of the four major Mazu temples, is located. Lecheng Temple has a long-standing history and is designated as a municipal historic site. Riding along the Dongguang Parkway, you are shaded by the lush green leaves of small-leaf olives, as the tall trees provide extensive coverage and make this section the coolest and most comfortable along the urban leisure bicycle path. The Dongguang Parkway Bike Path is very suitable for family outings and also guides cyclists towards Dazhi Park and Dongfeng Park. By traversing the towering blackboard tree forest, you can reach National Chung Hsing University.
