Dongguang Garden Path Introduction
Taichung City has a pleasant climate and boasts a unique parkway system. In recent years, there has been a strong promotion of dedicated bicycle lanes, integrating various living functions and planning bicycle paths that incorporate cultural, emotional, and touristic themes. The Dongguang Park bike path is part of Taichung’s citywide recreational bicycle path. This segment of the riding route starts from Taiyuan Station and runs along the railway, following the train's breeze. It then turns into the Hanke Old Street area, where the Lecheng Temple, one of the four major Mazu temples, is located. Lecheng Temple has a long history and is designated as a city historical site. Riding along the Dongguang Park bike path, you will be shaded by lush small olive trees throughout the year, as the trees are quite tall, creating a broad shaded area. This segment is the coolest and most comfortable section of the citywide recreational bicycle path. The Dongguang Park bike path is very suitable for family outings and also guides cyclists to Dazhi Park and Dongfeng Park. By passing through the tall blackboard tree forest, you can reach National Chung Hsing University.
