Dazhuang Haotian Temple Introduction
Dazhuang Haotian Temple covers an area of about 800 ping and features a solemn and majestic appearance with an elegant and simple design. It houses many calligraphy works by modern famous figures and scholars carved on the stone walls. The current structure of Haotian Temple generally preserves the traditional construction style of "lower stone and upper wood," and the decorative art techniques used in the building mainly include carving, masonry, modeling, and painting. The dragon columns, stone lions, and dragon-tiger pig that exist in the Sanshui Hall not only have beautiful materials but also exquisite craftsmanship. Due to its long history and unique architecture, the well-known movie "The Great Buddha+" and one of the episodes of the geographic magazine series "Stories from Taiwan" were filmed here. Haotian Temple hosts large-scale events during important festivals each year, such as the Spring Festival, Farmers' Day, Ghost Festival, and Mid-Autumn Festival, welcoming the public to participate.
