Chen San Gang Hall is located on Triangle Street, Longdong Village, Longjing District. The exact year of construction is unknown, but it may have been established during the Jiaqing or Daoguang eras by Chen Wuyi, an immigrant from Zhangzhou. His three sons, Zongzui, Zongyang, and Zongjie, managed the family business, and the family's prosperity led to the hall becoming well-known in the area as "San Gang Hall."

Chen San Gong Hall Introduction

This residence is a two-entry three-part courtyard house, featuring double guardian dragons on either side, primarily constructed from brick with some earth used in between, resulting in a spacious layout. In addition to the main entrance, there are side doors on both guardian dragons. Due to years of neglect and significant renovations, the roofs of the two wings have been replaced with Japanese-style gray tiles, while the main hall has been fitted with Western-style red tiles. Many of the old Southern Min bricks on the walls have also been replaced with red bricks, detracting from its original appearance. The descendants of the Chen family have often developed careers outside the area, including positions as township chiefs, county councilors, speakers, and medical doctors, and they remain a prominent local family.
