Chen Shicheng Introduction
Located in the Taichung coastal area, this restaurant has gained immense popularity, inheriting nearly a century-old traditional kiln roasting technique. Starting from selling dried meat from a shoulder pole, it has developed into a storefront over the years, while still adhering to a purely handcrafted process. Each piece of meat goes through a complex series of procedures, including de-fatting, marinating, flattening, filtering, and charcoal smoking. Using the freshest meats and a family recipe sauce made from natural ingredients and various traditional Chinese medicinal herbs, the restaurant aims to provide a sense of home-cooked comfort, allowing everyone to enjoy food that feels just like it’s made at home.
