Taiping Tobacco Shop Introduction
Taiping Tobacco Purchase Station, established in 1955, served as a site for the government monopoly bureau to evaluate and purchase tobacco leaves from farmers. Witnessing the development of Taiping's tobacco industry, it was designated as a historic building in 2013. After restoration, it was planned with three major exhibition areas: the local arts and culture exhibition area, the Tobacco Interpretation Hall introducing the history of the tobacco industry, and the memorial area showcasing works by internationally renowned iron sculpture artist Chen Tingshih, creating a new space that combines history with artistic culture.
