Taipei Tobacco Purchasing Station was established in 1955 as a place for the Tobacco and Alcohol Administration to assess and purchase tobacco leaves from farmers. Witnessing the development of Taiping tobacco, it was announced as a historical building in 2013. After restoration, it has been planned with three major exhibition areas: the local arts and culture exhibition area; the Tobacco Interpretation Hall, which introduces the history of the tobacco industry; and the memorial area showcasing the works of internationally renowned metal sculpture artist Chen Ting-shih, creating a new space that combines history and artistic culture.
