Tainan Canal Museum Introduction

The former Anping Customs House at Tainan Canal, a designated municipal heritage site, was established in 1926 when the New Tainan Canal was opened during the Japanese colonial period as the "Anping Branch of the Customs Anping Station." It is now the Tainan Canal Museum, which not only showcases the history and culture related to the canal and the office buildings from the Japanese era but also features a riverside café that combines heritage, coffee, and books. Visitors can enjoy a rich cup of coffee in the elegant historic setting and spend a leisurely afternoon.
