Erhlin Qing Palace Introduction

Qing Palace is located in the southernmost part of Tainan City, in the Erxing Village (formerly known as Erchengxing) of Rende District. Although it's a small village, it holds precious historical significance for Taiwan. Erchengxing was a settlement established by Han Chinese during the Dutch colonial period. During the Zheng dynasty, Zheng Chenggong established the Eastern Ming Capital in Tainan’s Chihkan Tower and set up the Wanian County seat in Erchengxing, building a government office. On December 14, 2008, a memorial monument for the ancient Wanian County seat was erected in the plaza of Qing Palace by the former Tainan County Government.
