Kaohsiung Astronomical Education Museum Introduction
The Astronomy Education Center, located within Ganghe Elementary School in the Xiaogang District, was established in 2000 and has been eagerly anticipated by local residents and astronomy enthusiasts. This small yet beautiful center focuses on astronomy education and promotion, featuring a multimedia exhibition hall, an astronomical observation deck, and various equipment and models. It houses a 300mm reflecting telescope valued at over six million, guiding visitors into the realm of astronomical science. Through viewing, observation, and hands-on practice, it offers a glimpse into the mysteries of the universe. The Astronomy Education Center regularly holds children's astronomy camps, special celestial observation sessions, and various workshops each year, using dynamic teaching methods to increase children's interest and knowledge in astronomy. It also provides rental opportunities for groups to use the "Mobile Astronomy Classroom," aiming to promote and root deeper engagement with astronomy education and lead more people into the vast realm of astronomical science.
