Xinwei Visitor Center Introduction

The New Wei Visitor Center is located north of Provincial Highway 28 at the 45 km mark in Liugui District and serves as the administrative center for the Maolin National Scenic Area. In 2009, the center was heavily impacted by Typhoon Morakot, which caused significant damage to the Maolin National Scenic Area Administration and its two tourist centers, Maolin and ShihFenLoHan Mountain. Considering the convenience of the location and long-term sustainability, an administrative and visitor center was established within the park to better serve the many visitors. The center features accessible tourism information service counters, diverse exhibition spaces, a multimedia room, a nursing room, a prayer room, a book exchange station, and charging stations for smart devices. Notably, the beautiful and most famous Rosewood Trail, nearly two kilometers long, is right next to it, attracting elderly individuals who enjoy leisurely walks, nature photography enthusiasts, and couples looking for wedding photos. It is recommended to spend about 30 minutes to 1 hour here, not only to gather tourism information within Maolin but also to take a relaxing stroll along the adjacent trail.
