New Paradise Visitor Center Introduction
The Sinwei Visitor Center is located north of Provincial Highway 28 at the 45 km mark in Liugui District and serves as the administrative center for the Maolin National Scenic Area Administration. In 2009, the center was severely affected by Typhoon Morakot, which heavily impacted the Maolin National Scenic Area Administration and its tourist centers at Maolin and Shihmen Mountain. Considering convenience and longevity, an administrative and visitor center was established within the park to better serve more tourists. The center includes facilities such as an accessible travel information desk, diverse exhibition spaces, a multimedia room, a nursing room, a prayer room, a book exchange station, and charging stations for smart devices. Notably, right next to it is the nearly two-kilometer-long, most beautiful and renowned Tsoonghua Heartwood Trail in Taiwan, which attracts seniors who enjoy slow walking, nature photographers, and couples taking wedding photos. It is recommended to stay here for about 30 minutes to 1 hour, not only to collect tourism information about Maolin but also to stroll along the nearby path to relax.
