New Wei Forest Park Introduction
Xingwei Forest Park is located on a terrace at an altitude of about 200 meters on the west bank of Laonong River in Liugui District, Kaohsiung City. Originally part of the old riverbed of Laonong River, it was established as a nursery due to the excellent soil quality and is referred to by locals as "Pingding." Covering an area of 30 hectares, it mainly focuses on planting tree seedlings, cultivating more than 200 species, making it one of the largest nurseries in Taiwan, with a significant number of rosewood, bamboo, and cedar trees.
