New Wei Forest Park Introduction
New Wei Forest Park is located on the west bank terrace of the Laonong River at 45K Provincial Highway 28 in Liugui District, at an elevation of about 200 meters. It offers a view of the Central Mountain Range and the Laonong River. In the past, it was one of the largest nurseries in Taiwan, covering an area of approximately 30 hectares, primarily cultivating tropical tree seedlings with more than 200 species, the most common being rosewood, bamboo, and cedar. The entire area is lush and green in spring and summer, and there is about a 2-kilometer avenue lined with rosewood trees. At the end of winter and beginning of spring, the green leaves of the rosewood turn a reddish-yellow, creating a natural corridor of trees that exudes exotic charm, often attracting many couples for walks and making it a popular location for wedding photoshoots. It is recommended to stay here for about an hour to fully engage your senses and deeply experience the wonders of the forest.
