Baolai Flower Viewing Hot Spring Park Introduction
There are as many as eight hot spring areas along the Laonong River, among which the more well-known ones are the Bulao Hot Springs and the Bulao Hot Springs located in Liuqiu District, Kaohsiung. The Bulao Huashang Hot Spring Park in the Bulao Hot Springs area blooms with flowers all year round, allowing visitors to enjoy the hot springs while experiencing the beauty of flowers. The park also offers luxurious camping tents, providing an opportunity to connect with nature and rejuvenate the body and mind. The Bulao Hot Springs is classified as a bicarbonate spring, with a water temperature reaching 52°C and a pH value of about 7.2, making it a high-quality bicarbonate spring characterized by its colorless and transparent water quality. Its gentle spring water softens the skin's surface, resulting in a smooth touch, and it is also known as the "Beauty Spring" or "Skin Beauty Spring." In 2009, the Morakot disaster caused damage to the hot spring sources. With the active promotion of the Kaohsiung City Government, a hot spring well was successfully drilled at the back of Bulao Junior High School in January 2017, and the obtained hot spring water was introduced into the Bulao Huashang Hot Spring Park. The Kaohsiung City Government invested funds to renovate the park, which reopened in 2020, upgrading hot spring facilities and adding new amenities such as changing rooms, spa pools, etc., making it more convenient for visitors. In addition, there are night hot springs available year-round. Bulao Huashang Hot Spring Park covers an area of 5.4 hectares, surrounded by mountains, and has planted 1,370 flowering trees such as Formosan sweetgum, Kawazu cherry blossom, jacaranda, and silk tree, creating a colorful floral sea throughout the year, with each season featuring its blooming stars. In March and April each year, the Formosan sweetgum trees bloom spectacularly, attracting many tourists who come to experience the joy of hand and foot soaking amidst the blooming flowers. The areas around the hot spring pools are planned as camping zones, equipped with luxurious tents, self-pitched tents, and camper vans, allowing visitors to camp under the flowering trees and awaken to the sounds of chirping insects and birds. The park has also added urban adventure exploration facilities, with various high-altitude experiences for you to challenge and adventure. Welcome to breathe in the forest, creating unique travel memories of hot springs, camping, and adventures in nature.
