Baolai Flower Appreciation Hot Spring Park Introduction

The hot spring area along the Laonong River has as many as eight locations, among which the more well-known ones are the Bulo Hot Spring and the Baolai Hot Spring located in Liuqui District, Kaohsiung. Baolai Flower Viewing Hot Spring Park, located in the Baolai Hot Spring area, is in full bloom throughout the year. Visitors can enjoy hot springs while admiring flowers, and the park also plans luxurious camping tents to experience nature and soothe the body and mind. Baolai Hot Spring belongs to the bicarbonate spring category, with a water temperature of 52°C and a pH value of about 7.2, making it a high-quality bicarbonate spring. Its characteristics include being colorless and transparent, with mild spring quality, which softens the outer layer of the skin, leaving it feeling smooth after washing, and is also known as "beauty spring" or "skin beauty spring." The Morakot disaster in 2009 caused damage to the hot spring source, but with the active promotion of the Kaohsiung City Government, a hot spring well was successfully drilled at the plateau behind Baolai Junior High School in January 2017, and the acquired hot spring was introduced into Baolai Flower Viewing Hot Spring Park. The Kaohsiung City Government invested funds to renovate the park, which reopened in 2020 with upgraded hot spring facilities, added changing and washing rooms, SPA pools, and other new amenities for greater convenience for visitors. Additionally, there are night hot spring pools, and the park is open year-round. Baolai Flower Viewing Hot Spring Park covers an area of 5.4 hectares and is surrounded by mountains, with 1,370 tree species such as Tabebuia, Kawazu cherry, Jacaranda, and Chitalpa planted, offering a colorful sea of flowers throughout the year. Each season has its blooming stars, and every year in March and April, the Tabebuia trees bloom, attracting many visitors to experience the pleasure of foot and hand baths amid the blossoming flowers. The area around the hot spring pool is designed as a camping area with luxurious tents, self-pitched tents, and RV facilities, allowing visitors to camp under flowering trees and awaken to the sounds of insects and birds. The park has also added urban adventure exploration facilities, with various high-altitude experiences for you to challenge and adventure to your heart's content. Welcome to breathe in the forest air and create unique travel memories of hot springs, camping, and adventure in nature.
