Baolai Visitor Center (Old Tree Plaza) Introduction

During holidays, the area sees a considerable influx of tourists. To accommodate the needs of travelers for rest and information, the "Baolai Old Tree Plaza Visitor Center" was built at the location of the Baolai Old Tree Plaza, offering appropriate tourist information, rest facilities, and quality dining environments. Baolai Old Tree Plaza features precious old trees (lemon eucalyptus and old camphor trees), which are prominently visible from the route into the Baolai area. The plaza is situated at a higher elevation compared to the surrounding terrain, providing a view of the Laonong River valley and the surrounding hills. The scenery is beautiful, and even on regular days, tourists often stop by to appreciate the stunning river valley landscape. During the annual plum blossom hot spring season celebrations, the plaza also serves as a main venue for various events and exhibitions. The first phase of the center (building construction) commenced on October 13, 2009, and was completed on February 6, 2010. The first floor primarily serves as a tourist service center, including a visitor information desk, multifunctional audiovisual room, interactive travel information media, display area, and a wooden rest platform. The second floor houses a small conference room and office space.
