Women’s Bookstore Introduction
The first feminist professional bookstore in the Chinese-speaking region, created by a group of women's movement activists and individuals concerned about gender equality issues. The store collects the most comprehensive selection of books and audiovisual materials related to women and gender issues in the Chinese-speaking world, aiming to provide a comfortable space for recognizing women's writings, listening to women's voices, and sharing women's experiences. The bookstore frequently holds discussions, exhibitions, and other events, and in 1996, it established a publishing culture focused on women's issues, making it an indispensable platform for gender discourse in Taiwan.
