Liang Shih-Chiu's Former Residence Introduction
The Liang Shih-Chiu Residence was built in 1933 and was originally a dormitory for English professor Yoshikazu Tomita at Taipei Higher School. After the recovery of Taiwan, it was repurposed as a dormitory for faculty and staff of the Provincial Normal University, with residents including Zhang Rulun, Liang Shih-Chiu, and Ning Zhu. In 2003, the Taipei City Government's executive meeting approved the designation of the Liang Shih-Chiu Residence as a historical building. National Taiwan Normal University conducted a survey and research on the residence in 2005, and from 2010 to 2011, restoration work was carried out to maintain its original appearance. It has now become a famous landmark with significant historical and cultural meaning. Text provided by: National Taiwan Normal University.
