Liang Shih-chiu's Former Residence Introduction

The Liang Shih-chiu Memorial House was built in 1933 and was originally the dormitory for Professor Yosuke Tomita, an English teacher at Taipei Higher School. After the end of Japanese rule, it was transformed into a dormitory for the Provincial Normal College faculty and was successively inhabited by people such as Zhang Rulin, Liang Shih-chiu, and Ning Zhu. In 2003, the Taipei City Government designated the "Liang Shih-chiu Memorial House" as a historical building. National Taiwan Normal University conducted a survey of the memorial house in 2005 and undertook restoration work from 2010 to 2011 to maintain its original appearance. It has now become a well-known landmark with significant historical and cultural significance. Text provided by National Taiwan Normal University.
