Saint Therese Church Introduction
St. Therese Church is the main pilgrimage site of the Catholic Hsinchu Diocese, also known as Xincheng Catholic Church. St. Therese is a Spanish Catholic saint, widely admired by Catholics around the world, and many churches are named after Therese. Looking up, the large statue of St. Therese outside the church conveys the church's spirit of mercy and salvation! As you ascend to the sanctuary on the second floor of the church, the windows are all made of stained glass, and the afternoon sunlight pours in, casting different golden hues across the glass. Strolling along the small path outside the church, you can see the solemn and compassionate statue of the Virgin Mary. Moving closer, you encounter Jesus, nailed to the cross for humanity, standing between heaven and earth. Along the path, stone slabs depict the Stations of the Cross, vividly illustrating the Passion.
