Changhua Christian Hospital History Development Museum Introduction
For over 120 years, Changhua Christian Hospital has been at the core of significant changes in healthcare technology development and church growth in central Taiwan. This transformation required the involvement of many missionaries to expand the overall foundation, during which numerous stories of love occurred, particularly the historical event known as "the love that cuts the skin." David Lan and his family devoted their lives to Changhua, along with the medical missionaries who joined over time, and the pastoral team led by Pastor Mei Jian Wu, forming a comprehensive care system for body, mind, and spirit. The historical development of this system possesses significant value for historical research. Therefore, in order to preserve and study the precious historical materials over the past 120 years, Changhua Christian Hospital established the Changhua Christian Hospital History Museum in 1998 to safeguard these valuable historical artifacts. The museum upholds the core value of "God's love for the world" and focuses on collecting and researching the social welfare network established by Western missionaries in building the healthcare system and church system in central Taiwan, aiming for the preservation, added value application, and social learning of healthcare historical materials in central Taiwan.
