Changhua Christian Hospital Heritage Center Introduction

For over 120 years, Changhua Christian Hospital has been the core of the development of medical technology and church growth in central Taiwan, undergoing significant changes that required the involvement of many missionaries to strengthen the overall foundation. During this period, many stories of love have emerged, particularly the well-known historical account of "the love that cuts to the bone." David Lan and his family dedicated their lives to Changhua, along with the medical missionaries who joined over the years and the pastoral team led by Pastor Mei Jianwu, forming a comprehensive care system for body, mind, and spirit. The historical development of this system holds great research value. Therefore, in order to preserve and study the valuable historical materials collected over the past 120 years, Changhua Christian Hospital established the Changhua Christian Hospital Historical Museum in 1998 to preserve these precious artifacts. The Changhua Christian Hospital Historical Museum adheres to the core value of "God loves the world," focusing on the social welfare network established by Western missionaries in Taiwan's central medical system and church system for collection and research purposes, aiming to archive, enhance application, and promote social learning related to the medical history of central Taiwan.
