Changhua Christian Hospital History Development Museum Introduction
For over 120 years, Changhua Christian Hospital has been at the core of significant changes in the development of medical technology and church growth in central Taiwan, requiring numerous missionaries to join in expanding the overall foundation. During this time, many stories of love have emerged, particularly the historical account of "empathetic love," which is well-regarded. David Lan and his family dedicated their lives to Changhua, along with the medical missionaries who gradually joined them and the pastoral team led by Pastor Mei Jianwu, forming a comprehensive system of care for body, mind, and spirit. The historical development of this system holds significant value for historical research. To preserve and study the precious historical materials from the past 120 years, Changhua Christian Hospital established the Changhua Christian Hospital Museum in 1998 to safeguard invaluable artifacts. The Changhua Christian Hospital Museum upholds the core value of "God loves the world," focusing on the social welfare network established by Western missionaries, which forms the medical system and church in central Taiwan, serving as the basis for collection and research aimed at preserving, enhancing applications, and fostering sociological learning about the medical history of central Taiwan.
