Changhua Christian Hospital History Development Hall Introduction
For over 120 years, Changhua Christian Hospital has been at the core of medical technology development and church growth in central Taiwan, showing significant changes that required many missionaries to join and expand the overall foundation. During this period, many stories of love unfolded, particularly highlighted by the well-known historical account of "skin-deep love." David Lan and his family dedicated their lives to Changhua, along with the medical missionaries who continuously joined them and the pastoral team led by Pastor Mei Jianwu, forming a complete system of physical, mental, and spiritual care. The historical development context is highly valuable for historical research. Therefore, in order to preserve and study the precious historical materials from the past 120 years, Changhua Christian Hospital established the Changhua Christian Hospital Museum in 1998 to safeguard these valuable historical artifacts. The Changhua Christian Hospital Museum adheres to the core value of "God loves all people," focusing on the social care network established by Western missionaries for the medical system and church system in central Taiwan as its collection and research subjects, aiming for the purpose of collecting, enhancing, and social learning of medical historical materials in central Taiwan.
