Changhua Christian Hospital History Development Museum Introduction
For over 120 years, Changhua Christian Hospital has been at the core of significant changes in medical technology development and church growth in Central Taiwan. This progress required the joining of many missionaries to expand the overall foundation, during which numerous stories of love emerged, particularly the well-known historical account of "The Love of Flesh." David Lan and his family dedicated their lives to Changhua, along with the continuing addition of medical missionaries and a team of pastors led by Pastor Mei Jianwu, forming a complete system of physical, mental, and spiritual care. The historical context of its development holds significant value for historical research. Therefore, to preserve and study the invaluable historical materials from the past 120 years, Changhua Christian Hospital established the Changhua Christian Hospital History Museum in 1998 to safeguard these precious historical artifacts. The Changhua Christian Hospital Cultural and Historical Museum upholds the core value of "God loves the world," focusing on the social care network established by Western missionaries in building the medical system and church system in Central Taiwan, with the goal of collecting, enhancing applications, and facilitating sociological learning related to Central Taiwan's medical history.
