Changhua Christian Hospital History Development Museum Introduction
For over 120 years, Changhua Christian Hospital has been at the core of the development of medical technology and church growth in central Taiwan, with significant changes brought about by the involvement of numerous missionaries who expanded the overall foundation. During this time, many stories of love have unfolded, particularly the historical narrative of "skin-deep love" that is fondly recounted. David Lan and his family dedicated two generations to Changhua, along with the continuous addition of medical missionaries and a team of church pastors led by Pastor Mei Jianwu, creating a comprehensive system for physical, mental, and spiritual care. The historical development of this context holds great value for historical research. Thus, to preserve and study the precious historical materials from the past 120 years, Changhua Christian Hospital established the Changhua Christian Hospital Museum in 1998 to protect these valuable historical artifacts. The museum is committed to the core value of "God loves the world," focusing on the social care network established by Western missionaries that created the medical system and church framework in central Taiwan, for the purposes of collecting, researching, and applying central Taiwan's medical historical materials and enhancing social learning.
