Yunlong Waterfall Introduction
Yunlong Waterfall is located at the entrance of the Batongguan Ancient Trail, often a focal point for photographers. It is the tallest and most voluminous waterfall in Taiwan. From the bottom looking up, the waterfall’s flow can be felt in its grand momentum, making it the most spectacular waterfall along the Batongguan Ancient Trail. It is a typical hanging valley waterfall, abundant in water and never running dry throughout the year. The waterfall consists of three tiers, with a total drop of over 100 meters. The water rushes down the nearly vertical cliff face with a thundering force, creating a curtain of white water, which is why it is also known as "Qingshan Bailing" (Green Mountain White Curtain). The round trip distance from Dongpu to Yunlong Waterfall is about 4 kilometers, with the route hidden in the mountain slope along the northern bank of the Chen Youlan Creek. The scenery along the way is beautiful and pleasant, making it one of the popular hiking paths.
