Yunlong Waterfall Introduction
Yunlong Waterfall is located at the entrance of Batongguan Old Trail and is often the focus of photographers. It is the highest and most abundant waterfall in Taiwan. Looking up from below, the waterfall's impressive force can be felt, making it the most spectacular waterfall along the Batongguan Historic Trail. It is a typical hanging valley waterfall, with abundant water flow that lasts throughout the year. The waterfall is divided into three tiers, with a total drop of over 100 meters. The rapid current cascades down from nearly vertical cliff walls with a thunderous force, creating a curtain of white water, hence it is also known as "Qingshan Bailian" (Green Mountain White Curtain). The round trip distance from Dongpu to Yunlong Waterfall is about 4 kilometers, with the trail hidden in the hillside of Chenyoulian Creek heading north. The scenery along the way is beautiful, with landscapes beside mountains and rivers, making it a popular hiking trail.
