Yunlong Waterfall Introduction
Yunlong Waterfall is located at the entrance of Batongguan Ancient Trail and is often the focus for photographers among mountain friends. It is also the tallest and most abundant waterfall in Taiwan. From below, one can truly feel its magnificent momentum as the water cascades down, making it the most spectacular waterfall along the Batongguan Ancient Trail. It is a typical hanging valley waterfall with abundant water flow that lasts throughout the year. The waterfall consists of three tiers with a total drop of over 100 meters. The water rushes down with tremendous force from nearly vertical cliff walls, resembling a white curtain, hence it is also known as "Green Mountains and White Silk." The round trip distance from Dongpu to Yunlong Waterfall is about 4 kilometers, with the path hidden along the north side of Chen Youlan Stream. The scenery along the trail is picturesque, making it one of the popular hiking paths.
