Yunlong Waterfall Introduction
Yunlong Waterfall is located at the entrance of the Batongguan Ancient Road and is often a focal point for photographers. This is the highest and most abundant waterfall in Taiwan. From below, the flow of the waterfall can be felt in its majestic force. It is the most spectacular waterfall along the Batongguan Ancient Road and is a typical hanging valley waterfall with a plentiful water supply that never runs dry throughout the year. The waterfall consists of three tiers, with a total drop exceeding 100 meters. The water rushes down the nearly vertical gorge walls with immense power, creating a curtain of white water, hence it is also known as "Qingshan Bailian" (Green Mountain White Curtain). The round trip distance from Dongpu to Yunlong Waterfall is approximately 4 kilometers, with the route hidden in the mountain's waist along the north of the Chen Youlan Creek. The scenery along the way is picturesque, with beautiful views by the mountains and water, making it one of the popular hiking trails.
