Autumn and winter are the best seasons for viewing sea of clouds. In Alishan National Scenic Area, the best viewpoints are near the Alishan Museum, Alishan Hotel, Alishan Railway Station, Zhaoping Park, Ogasawara Mountain Viewpoint, and near the entrance transfer station. Other worthy locations include Xiding on Alishan Highway, Ding Shizhao, and around the 89.5K mark on the road to Zizhong.
