In Alishan National Forest Recreation Area, the best viewing spots are the viewing platform next to the Alishan Museum, Alishan Hotel, Alishan Railway Station, Zhaoping Park, Ogasawara Mountain Viewing Platform, and near the entrance transfer station. Midway along Alishan Highway, places such as Xiding, Ding Shizhao, and around the 89.5K mark heading towards Zizhong are also worth a visit.
