Caopingtou Yushan Tea Garden Introduction
The Caopingtou Tea Area is located in Tongfu Village, Xinyi Township, at an altitude of approximately 1,300 meters. It is situated alongside the new Central Cross-Island Highway (Provincial Highway 21) and spans an area of 48 hectares. In 1993, with the assistance of government agencies, it was developed into a tourist tea garden. The cool climate and year-round mist provide an excellent growing environment for tea plants. Positioned in the high-altitude region at the foothills of Yushan, the "Yushan Oolong" cultivated here is distinct from other tea areas, known for its aromatic, rich, and sweet qualities, making it highly favored by consumers. During the Lunar New Year period each year, the Caopingtou Leisure Farm features blooming pink, light pink, and white cherry blossoms. With over 3,000 cherry trees lining the roads, it creates a picturesque scene of pink flower rain. Visitors can leisurely stroll through the tea garden, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the tea region and the rich aroma of tea, and experience the relaxed rural lifestyle.
