Caopingtou Yushan Tea Garden Introduction
The Caopingtou Tea Area is located at an altitude of about 1,300 meters in the Tongfu Village of Xinyi Township, adjacent to the new Central Cross-Island Highway (Tai 21). Covering an area of 48 hectares, it was established as a tourist tea garden in 1993 with the support of government agencies. The cool climate here, often shrouded in mist, provides an excellent growing environment for tea plants. Situated at the high-altitude foothills of Yushan Mountain, the "Yushan Oolong" cultivated here is distinct from other tea-producing areas, renowned for its fragrance, richness, and sweetness, making it highly favored by consumers. Each year during the Lunar New Year, the Caopingtou Leisure Farm features the blooming of pink, light pink, and white cherry blossoms, with over 3,000 cherry trees lining the path. The delicate pink flower rain creates an enchanting atmosphere, allowing visitors to leisurely stroll through the tea garden, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the tea countryside, and experience the leisurely rural lifestyle along with the rich aroma of tea.
