Caopingtou Yu Shan Tea Garden Introduction
Caopingtou Tea Area is located in Tongfu Village, Xinyi Township, at an altitude of about 1,300 meters. Situated alongside the New Central Cross-Island Highway (Taiwan Route 21), it covers an area of 48 hectares. Established as an agricultural tourism tea garden in 1993 with government assistance, this area enjoys a cool climate and is often shrouded in mist, providing an excellent growing environment for tea trees. Being located in a high-altitude region at the foot of Yushan (Jade Mountain), the "Yushan Oolong" produced here is distinct from teas from other regions, known for its fragrant, mellow, and sweet characteristics, making it popular among consumers. During the Spring Festival each year, the pink and light pink sakura, along with white cherry blossoms bloom throughout the Caopingtou Leisure Agricultural Area. With over 3,000 cherry blossom trees lining the path, visitors can enjoy a picturesque pink flower scene as they stroll leisurely through the tea gardens, experiencing the beautiful scenery and rich tea aroma while indulging in the relaxed rural lifestyle.
