Caopingtou Yu Shan Tea Garden Introduction
Caopingtou Tea Area is located at an altitude of approximately 1,300 meters in Tongfu Village, Xinyi Township, adjacent to the new Central Cross-Island Highway along Taiwan Route 21. This tea garden spans an area of 48 hectares and was established as a tourist tea garden in 1993 with the guidance of government agencies. The cool climate, often shrouded in mist, provides an excellent growing environment for tea plants, and being situated on the high-altitude foothills of Yushan (Jade Mountain) produces the unique "Yushan Oolong," which is distinct from other tea regions, appreciated for its fragrance, smoothness, and sweetness by consumers. Every year during the Spring Festival, the Caopingtou Leisure Agricultural Area showcases blooming pink, light pink, and white cherry blossoms. With over 3,000 cherry blossom trees lining the path, the scene resembles a pink floral mist. Visitors can leisurely stroll through the tea gardens, enjoying the beautiful scenery of the tea region and the rich aroma of tea, while experiencing the leisurely rural lifestyle.
